I rarely come across women that I consider to be HB10s. Maybe once a month. Well, I had one in my grasp and I let her go, because my game was a little too tight. I’ll explain:
It started at a local pub, college hangout type place. I saw her from across the room; she was the most beautiful girl I had seen in a long time, and she was the focal point of the place. Every dude in the bar was gawking at her, and she was clearly the leader of her (mostly male) group of friends. Since I have had a run of success over the last few months, and my confidence/inner-game is at an all time high, I approached her without hesitation, in front of all OF her friends, and began gaming her. My game was tight. I blew a couple of the dudes she was with who were trying to AMOG me out of the water, and after a few minutes was leading her by the hand to a more quiet area of the bar to sit and chat. I was being charming, smooth, ****y/funny, and it was working perfectly. Soon, we were kissing, and just as she began looking loving into my eyes, I smiled at her, told her I have to go back to my friends, and grabbed my boys to go bar hopping.
I called her about a week later (lately, I've been calling all of the girls I meet no earlier than a week later; partly to be a challenge, and partly because I've been so busy going on dates). We had a great phone conversation which didn't last more than 5 minutes, and I made plans to hang out. I pick her up, we have an incredible time, I'm acting ****y/funny, busting on her, sorta aloof, and wasn't even trying to get in her pants. We walk back to her house, she invites me in, and we end up having sex. Afterwards, as I'm about to leave, she stops me, tells me she felt more of a connection to me than she's ever felt with any guy, and she says "I really like you." I smile at her, say "I really like me too" and I wink.
The next day, I get a text message from her saying " Hey thanks for the call [sarcastically, because I didn't call her the next day]. I had a good time last night, mainly because it was out of character for me. If you aren't scared off already I would like to get together again."
I text back, and say that I have to go to Montreal for the week for business (which was true), but that I'd call her when I got back into town and we'd set something up. I just called her an hour ago to set something up... and she told me that she's started seeing someone else since I've been gone! I acted unaffected by it, and she went on to say that "when you didn't call me at all and just texted me, I assumed you weren't that interested... so I went on a date with my friend Brian and we hit it off, he's a great guy." I said that's cool, that we should be friends, and hung up.
About a half hour ago, I sent her this text message: "hey, I sorta wish notw that stuff hadnt happened at the end of the night. My fault for drinking too much I guess. I think youre a fun girl and a good person, and youd make a good friend, so hopefully its not too late to do that "
Haven't heard back from her.... I've already mentally moved on, but I'm wondering if any of the more experienced DJ's can figure out what went wrong here... did I mess up, or was it simply a case of bad luck? Is there something to be learned from this?
