usually, you can identify the cult and its members by the lingo:

they never say "guy", "dude" or even "male"... or anything as casual as that.

it is always "MAN" and is uttered with tremendous self-seriousness.

you can hear its rumblings around this site certainly. you can also hear it from time to time in everything from men's health magazine to esquire.

but this is just as silly as when anyone identifies with anything with deadly seriousness without the benefit of DISTANCE, PERSPECTIVE and HUMOR.

whether its conservatism, liberalism, feminaziism or the promise keepers. blind dedication to anything is a chumps' endeavor....

and why is it that the bottom line is almost always some guy or gal peddling something?

was thinking more about it, and I came to think that maybe it´s not a bad idea to give the cards as a routine, to most girls you approach.

But the ones that you are really interested, I think it´s more safe to go for the digits - you don´t want to miss a HB9 only because she lost your card or just doesn´t pick up the phone and call you!!!

I personally wouldn´t still do it - I enjoy approaching the girl and getting her digits. And who´s the lucky girl than gets to go out with me, I´ll just call her. If something goes wrong, I still have other choices left.

But, everyone has their own style. If you find yours effective, then it´s not AFCish at all!!! I think in most things there are no absolutely right or wrong ways to do it. There is three ways to do things, the bad way, the good way, and then there is my way Or how was it?

By the way, "believing in one's self" is a complete and total crock. The madman, the arrogant bastard (that's me!), the girlyman, the success all share one thing in common: They believe in themselves.

Strength comes from understanding that you do NOT know everything, and that there are personal depths that you have not, and may never, explore.

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I'm just an arrogant bastard...
