I figured this wasn't in here, and it's helped me be more of a DJ in the following ways:
1. It's easier to ignore your cell phone when it's on vibrate.
2. It shows that you care more about your environment to the women you're gaming, but still allows you to make those same women less "important" to you by answering it. You have a choice, and use it wisely.
3. Similar to "item 2" is that no one knows that your phone is blowing up, since there's no annoying ring going on.
I posted this because ever since I've put my phone on vibrate I've had more control on how I DJ with other girls. For example, during a high interest level conversation with a girl the phone rang, and I took that opportunity to answer it and end the convo on a high note. I excused myself, stepped out and spent 5 minutes talking to my buddy. I came back in, and before picking up my drink the girl's IL shot way up. Now, I had her wanting my attention more than the mystery person who called.
The vibrate also helped in this way. I was just chilling at home watching TV, and my phone buzzes. It's easy enough to keep watching TV and let it buzz. I knew it was a girl I was seeing, so I let it ring and go to voicemail. "1 Missed Call" Not 10 seconds later, my house phone is ringing. Alas, I cannot put that on vibrate mode. So, I was forced to let it ring out or pick it up. I let it ring out. Called her back a bit later and could tell she was glad I called... could hear the rustling from answering a phone in a hurry.
What you DO NOT do is send any call you're ignoring straight to voicemail. It does not work the same as if your phone was turned off. When a cell phone is off, it goes immediately to voicemail. However, when you press the END button on most phones, the person has heard 1 or 2 rings before hitting voicemail. Anyone who knows cell phones (i.e. girls) knows those simple rules. So, let it go to voicemail on its own and she'll feel like you got more important things to do than talk to her. If she feels that you ignored her on purpose she may actually feel like you're playing games instead (which has usually been a bad thing in my experience). Also, make sure you DO NOT apologize for missing their call. Just make sure your call/conversation has a purpose. No purpose = no phone call.
Yes, I am new to DJing, but I'm not new to getting girls.
