A-Unit, perhaps there is no reason to thank you for the thread you made a while ago discussing “The Secret.” Because, following by the logic of the law of attraction, my own thoughts are the reason I ever allowed myself to see it. Nonetheless, thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Since then, I googled the names of the men and women who spoke in the film. I recently bought “The Attractor Factor,” a book written by Joe Vitale, the guy who went from being homeless to a millionaire.

I have only read about 60 pages of the book thus far, but I have truly been enlightened. Most of today I spent realizing how everything had ever happened to me in life, whether good or bad, was indeed the result of my thoughts, emotions, and focus on the situations.

Words can’t describe the feeling of revelation and self-discovery I feel right now. I’ve ran through a plethora of thoughts, and I now understand that I can truly create my world the way I want it. We all can. Right now, after I finish posting this, I am going to write to myself exactly how I wish my life to be, in every single aspect, from the little things to the bigger picture.

I was just about to flip through the pages I’ve read recently and pull some quotes, but I just realized I can’t summarize or quote something, because I’ll be leaving out the other stuff, and it’s all essential. It will change your life, if you want it to.

In the last 2-3 days, despite getting by with connecting to the Internet through my neighbors’ wireless routers, I have been able to finally jump start my eBay business. The other day I was renting some movies, and I overheard a conversation between the store owner and another guy about liquidating movies off the shelves. I inquired about it, told the lady I sell on eBay, and she offered to sell me wholesale lots of DVDs.

Now, this is something I would have never pictured or thought of before…but it just fell into my lap because this eBay thing is all I’ve been thinking about lately. I attracted the opportunity into my life, and every day these opportunities just keep getting better.

To say this book is changing my life is an understatement. It is perhaps the single most important material I have ever owned or will ever need.

I urge anyone and everyone to check it out. Again, the title is “The Attractor Factor” by Joe Vitale.

If you have read this book, please share your thoughts and stories. I would love to read about them. In the meantime, I’m off to writing my own story, turning my wildest dreams into reality.

Take care,
c-legs

It's these kind of thread/post that gives me excitement so one can notice my willingness to post in it.

Seriously guys, just go out and do/accomplish whatever it is what you have always wanted to do.

It's that SIMPLE. Your mind, first and foremost. In weightlifter, what's the first muscle you exercise? The MIND!!! You need to know what is good for you and what is not before you start tossing around those irons. In real estate, what is the first thing you do? EDUCATION for your mind on this particular subject! You need to educate yourself by reading, writing, condensing, etcetc before you make way and invest a single cent. This goes for all field in life, I don't care if it's how to bake your mother's cookies or if it's quantum science, everything and I mean EVERYTHING starts with the mind.

If you're buying DVD's from the video store, that's not wholesale.

Wholesale is when you buy direct from the studio and / or distributor.

That's what the vid store does, then they mark them up and make money selling them to you.

Not trying to be negative, but that's how it works.

For the sake of argument, the video store can act as his wholesaler when selling their USED DVDs at below retail value.

Understood but you didn't seem to read carefully, he said it was being liquidated, thus the discounted price concluding that it's wholesale. Liquidation can be sold into or as a wholesale.

I love posts like this.

I'll share a nice example of my life experience:

2 years ago, I finished highschool. I wanted to do a higher level of highschool (Holland is kinda different than USA). Teachers wouldn't let me cause of average grades. I gave in pretty fast and I choose some kind of education without really thinking about it (foolish youth). So after summer vacation I get onto it. After a month of hating the education I decided I should stop. My mom and teachers didn't encourage me to do that. They said stuff like: "Maybe you'll start liking it when you keep doing it". But I knew that this wasn't the stuff I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After struggling for 2 more months I decided to quit. So I go back to my highschool and ask them if I can get into the higher level of highschool again, since I had to do either that or work for a year. They started complaining, but let me do it if I made a plan to do the work I missed during the first three months in spare time. Most teachers didn't think I was going to make it but I knew I could. That's 1,5 year from now. And I just graduated from that highschool with no insufficient grades! (I did have those on my lower highschool)
Over that 1,5 year I also improved the rest of my life too, just because I changed my thinking from 'lazy arrogant AFC thinking' to 'courageous thinking'.
The only downside to it is that my mom keeps saying how proud of me she is. I know she means it good but it gets annoying ;)

The ancestor to every action is a thought.

I'll see you at the top

Re:

I haven't, but I'll search for it, or get it, thanks.

A book similar to it that was written by Esther Hicks of the same movie is titled "Ask and It Is Given." He has read many books like this, and regards it as one of the best on the topic related to The Secret.

You can call the Secret whatever you want.
Conscious Co-Creation.
Desire.
Concentration.
Positive Mental Attitude.

And yes Bob Proctor was right when people throughout history have ALWAYS exercised this. Even Jim Rohn talks on a "Can do attitude" and how Jesus was a miracle worker because he never thought he couldn't (I won't debate the veracity of his abilities or religion, just pointing out History).

And yes, it definately works as Sifer put it. Without a doubt. Being positive and working towards it brings it towards you FASTER than wanting it but being negative about.

When I was seeking to move out of my place, all I did was talk about "possibilities" and opportunities with friends and family. I mentioned my desire to do it when the "right situation came up." In New England, rent for a single place is a minimum of 600 to 700, something I wasn't willing to spend to be alone. Nor was I seeking to live with anyone UNLESS it was a big enough house or housed enough guys to make it fun and inexpensive. Suffice it to say, my mother began bringing forward many different places, but when I called, they were taken. Then my boss came forward and said a place he rented 7 years ago was available again as his friend finally moved out. I went and saw the guy who owned it and was a little nervous. Finally, I jumped at it. Not only was the rent below market price, but it was close to my work, so close I could walk if I wanted to, it was a single place, with 2 different porches, and a large bedroom. It was perfect for me. And the location was quiet and safe (near a church). I couldn't do any better and I was delighted; have been happy ever since.

It's the attitude that makes it happen because you're "creative" while you're positive. If you get a chance to get something, get the "Psychology of Winning" by Denis Waitely. He was in the video, and talks about what winners see and do. The mistake some people make is to think one book or one reading can override years maybe even a decade or 2 of programming. The more books you read, or the more times you read it, the more audio programs you listen to, the easier and more second nature these things become.

On Financial Programs, I'll read books and listen to audio tape during the morning or when I'm cleaning (In between Red Sox games of course), and it makes it almost second nature. It's like a guy who immerses himself in the PUA culture. He becomes a good PUA within his environment because he becomes comfortable with it. Studies have been done that environment built toward success causes exponential progress and growth over someone who doesn't create a positive environment toward growth and what it is they want to achieve.

A person seeking to lose wait who has tons of cheat food around, will likely fail. Whereas, if you have tons of healthy, prepared food, veggies, protein shakes, you'll likely succeed.

A person who wants to be awesome in sales will likely fail in that pursuit or find it difficult if they're not buying the books, surrounding themselves with people and programs, the seminar, staying at the top of their game, and constantly improving wherever they can.

The same would apply in REI. A good rei would seek constant improvement, want to join REI clubs, play rich dad poor dad, read books, and constantly improve. A hermit who has one book, might get lucky, but constant growth and embedding of the principles is very difficult.

One of the reasons I like watching golf pro's is for their shot selection and game management. You can't tell much on swing, and everybody's is different, but to see HOW they do what they do and WHY, is a big part of getting better for every golfer out there.

Even people who are into poker play tons of games, both real and fake money, watch the pro's, listen to the interviews, and read the books and programs.

If you're hunting you not only study the prey, but you study the environment. Same applies in every other area.

Thanks for the book reco. I'm going to try and find it now.

good post

At this point you probably have a woman (or multiple women) chasing you around, calling you all the time, wanting to be with you. So let's talk about how to KEEP a woman interested in you once you have her. This is BIG! There is nothing worse than getting dumped by a woman that you really, really like.

True. That's why I'm very gratefull that I'm only 19 years old and started at 18 getting into this stuff.
If I look at myself at when I was 17, I can't believe how much I've changed. And it all started with one website (DYD website). My mood is better, my body looks better, I dress better, I have a better social circle, I enjoy things more and most importantly: I know what I want to do with my life!

Life is fantastic! :)

Why is the guy on the The Attractor Factor website so fat and ugly?

You'd think if he knew the secret of getting whatever you want he'd want a better body.. mabye not be going bald. Why the bad clothes? Huh? He does not have that much money either? Why not more.. I mean he has the secret.

Yeah that's right. Bull****.

Nothing wrong with thinking positive about being able to acheive your goals but this is pure bull****.

So, using your logic only thin people with a full head of hair are successful. Let's not forget that you need "nice" clothes as well. That ugly nerdy Bill Gates can't be that rich...

What a fool.

"Holy red flag, Batman!"

Ph.D. in Metaphysical Sciences. Doctor, my azz.

No legitimate school on Earth would grant a Ph.D. in that. Metaphysics, sure. Physical Sciences, maybe. Metaphysical Sciences? There's no such discipline except in New Age La-La We'll Mail You a Diploma Land.

He is, for sure, a marketing genius. And if you're a demi-god, who needs honesty?

No. I said if he had the power to get what he wants I'm sure he would want to be in good shape and with hair.

I'm not sure muscular and a head full of hair is what everyone really has in their priority right now. For one you're here to get laid so your priority is that, to be vain (in this way). For him he needs money (probably more so than you) and the bettering of the world around him.

At some point it's like seeing the tree instead of the forest if you think about it. And you're just barely getting the small part of the picture. I suggest you think about what he has to say before you say "but this is pure bull****". Get a clue.

As for school, I don't even have a high school degree but I'm going to defend him anyway since it seems like a legitimate degree to me - http://www.cms.edu/career.html

As for the demigod comment - I'm not sure how to describe this but simply if you believe it, we're created in the image of god, eh isn't that like, oh my god, demigod? :p

Are you still in your early twenties?

This whole attachment to undiscovered powers and jumping at every carrot that promises them screams that you're young adults trying to gain control over your lives. People in that period of their life join clubs, join churches, travel, find father figures, find gurus, search desperately for a cause to devote their lives to.

This guy Joe Vitale has a perfect lure, one that he might even believe in. But you're so attached, YOU'RE missing the forest for the trees.

Anyone that sells self-help books through viral marketing is in it for the money. Anyone that puts "Dr." in front of their name at every opportunity is only trying to hoodwink you. Anyone with a degree in Metaphysical Sciences got it from a bvllsh!t source.

There might be more to life. You might find what you're desperately seeking. But please let us help you avoid the potholes that we've already passed.

You like thoughts making reality and giving to receive? Fine. They sound nice. But don't cave so easily. If there's some higher knowledge out there, you might be on the right track. But take some advice and add skepticism to your your openness. You need both in large doses to avoid getting stuck in the foothills.

Peace,

whistler

PS -- I know you'll ignore what I just wrote because you think you're so close you can taste it. Some things can't be taught didactically.

Ok. I'm 19 now. I have co-owned an apartment. I have flipped properties. I currently help a friend run his business. I am also learning a bit about stocks although I'm biased.

I have fun and club whenever I can. I've personally offered (please do a search) to help whoever I can, that's in New York.

I already have a role model and I wear a necklace in his memory. To say I have no role model or someone I look to for advice and such, is very very ignorant of you, not to mention extremely presumptious.

As for the Dr. and such, personally, and if you do a search, you will find I am on the far extreme end, I am against the modern form of schooling, I dropped high school. I'm just defending him because it's not fair to attack someone behind their back no matter who they are. It's like the Bruce Lee threads that almost every forum has "Bruce Lee VS [insert name]".

Leave the legend alone and stop talking about the dead. It's just not that.. fun if you get my drift.

Our mind really do influence our action and in turn our action influence the things that happen around us. I'm not going to tell you that our mind has no influence direct or indirect to our reality, I believe it does, if you don't, that's you.

As long as you don't force me to do anything or try to shove your belief down my throat, I'm fine with that. It's a free country afterall right?

As for ignoring, your wish will come true so I'll ignore. Oh and you make it seem like you're invulnerable, why don't you tell me what you did when you were around the 20s'?

because you think you're so close you can taste it.
I don't get this, so close to what that I can taste what? My girlfriend's *****?

For the record:

I haven't paid ONE DIME for any self improvement product ever made. And I won't be doing that in the future, unless I want to interview a particular person. You know why, because some of is worthless and some of it is priceless.

I have enjoyed reading your responses.

sifer, what you say is true. These days I'm starting to feel overwhelmed with the power I hold in my own mind.

SELF-MASTERY, I have heard of Wayne Dyer...Holland (here on SS) rec'd I check his books out. They are great, and I thank both of you for pointing out this great author.

Specifically, I liked his book called the 10 Secrets of Success. The 7th or 8th principle in that book states that you should treat yourself as already being or having what you want. The same thing that was mentioned in the film; to feel the feelings of already having what you want, and releasing this energy to the universe to bring them to you.

You know what's funny about the video store liquidation thing? I went back yesterday because I thought maybe she had forgotten about it and to just remind her. She told me she was actually really busy with also selling her house at the same time, so she was probably going to liquidate next week, Monday. And then she told me, that she felt like me coming into the store and asking to help her with selling the stuff was "meant to be." Interesting.

"The ancestor to every action is a thought." - Holland
Very well said.

You know one thing that I've read in Attractor Factor is that fear is misdirected faith. We have faith in fear when we should place faith elsewhere. Excuses are beliefs. I didn't think of it in this perspective.

A-Unit, thank you for that post and the story about acting on your intent. I agree, I need to constantly keep myself in this state and keep growing to push out the damage from my past. It could creep back up on me, and I haven't even completely let go of it yet. You mentioned other authors and books that I will definitely check out after this one. Thanks again.

I'm at work right now, so I can't right much. But I just had to post this because I'm blown away by the opportunities I'm attracting lately! Blown away!

You may or may not have read my approach journal in Discussion. Short story, I haven't gotten laid in nearly 6 months now. It's been pushed out of my priorities, I lost confidence, I was confused about it. Two nights ago, I decided to get clear about what I want. For the first time ever, I sat down and actually wrote what would make an ideal girlfriend for me (for sake of brevity I'll shorten the description here):

Physically: "should be non-American, specifically Spanish or Asian or both (hot)." I just quoted that because I remember this vividly, I remember hesitating to write it because I had never really gone for a Spanish or Asian girl specifically. Then I realized I really deep down want a Spanish girl. Spanish it is then...she also has to be slightly shorter than me, brunette, big brown eyes, lusty lips...can be fairly thin or slightly thick because I am also thin myself (and not in perfect shape)...cute face

Personality/Other: friendly, not shy, not overly slutty, non-smoker, can drink but prefer if she doesn't, should like or respect my interests, have interests of her own, should have goals

I very briefly visualized having a girlfriend like this. I believe and know that I deserve and I can have this (that is key). I thought about us spending time together.

Well, yesterday, I didn't notice much. Then in the afternoon, I noticed on the bus, everyone except me was spanish. There were actually a few hot girls, but I noticed most of them were speaking spanish amongst themselves. I didn't approach any. What was still amazing is that I live in an area where there are not that many Spanish people...there are, but I rarely run into them. I just wanted to test 'if this secret thing really works'

That night when I got home I decided to myself that 'okay, she has to be able to speak English well.' Like a second-generation or something.

This morning, I got off the first bus to transfer to another one, and I saw a girl that fit the perfect physical description I described above!!! She looked like she was Mexican or Philipina, brunette, big brown eyes, lusty lips...oh my god. I passed by her to go to the bathroom. While I was taking a piss I felt so shocked. Holy sh*t, this girl is exactly as I have pictured. I got a little nervous because it was sooo crazy, then I shook it off (my nervousness), and went back outside and approached her. I had decided if the law of attraction had brought this to me, I must take it.

I spoke to her, and her personality/other qualities fit perfectly also!!!!!! My god. I am still in a state of shock. She reads, she dances salsa, she's Mexican, speaks English perfectly and Spanish, she doesn't drink or smoke, she respected my interests and asked me questions about myself, etc. She plays soccer, etc etc etc. I got her number. I'll post this in my approach journal.

Even if it doesn't work out with this girl, I am absolutely blown away by this whole thing.

Not to mention I just got an idea last night on how to make $7000 in less than a month!
