Phoenix, look up the philosophy of determinism. Thats what the 2nd matrix alluded to, and its a serious philosophy that a lot of people ascribe to in one form or another, whether they know it or not.
Morpheus: What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire life, that there's something wrong with the world. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
Morpheus: You have to let it all go Neo... Fear. Doubt.
Alright you guys talk a lot of sh!t but don't have much to back it up. What makes the Matrix philosophy crap? Not that its anything new, there hasn't been any new philosophy under the sun in a LONG time... but there's nothing wrong with it. It can be very thought provoking if you give it a chance. Philosophy only has as much meaning as you give to it.
Personally I liked the fact that they at least TRIED to make an interesting story with some deep metaphors, even if it wasn't perfect. Yeah yeah, the 2nd movie relied too much on drawn out fight scenes and special effects. The first movie was pretty good though, and the fight scenes in both movies just plain fvckin rock!
