Sorry for that. He is a cousin of Patrick star from spongebob.
Looks matter my friend. Patrick is more aesthetically pleasing than that creature we are discussing hence Patrick has a higher SMV scale than that character mentioned in the title of this thread. Furthermore, Patrick managed to win the hearts and minds of the population, whilst the other wants to destroy, in simpler words, Patrick is far more charismatic. Therefore I do not see how they are even remotely related to one another.

You're not built like that, that's why you ran away from home to bang under age trannies in Thailand
A snap of my fingers I could disappear from Bangkok and reappear in Jakarta...

Easy.

Don't be jealous.

Umm, no disrespect to the OP, but it's a movie, not real life. Then again, so was Scarface and The Godfather, so there you go.

Yeah but thanos Has social proof. Look at how many people suck up to him and give him respect. Though I agree Patrick has looks, thanos has a much higher social status. Not to say Patrick doesn’t have status and a social circle, but he doesn’t have the respect thanos commands. Good points though. Should begin.
I believe this quote fits exactly to the masses that watch him. They are his followers, his minions, and they wish to be so. Just because a character has a large social value does not mean, You should respect him. A man's job is to question critically everything he sees, especially if he is spoon fed that information. One would need to see that the bad outweighs the good in this character, and considering our history, we have seen how time and time again, a notable figure that had many followers ( I assume that there is high social value+respect) does not necessarily mean that the figure deserves your own personal respect.

Media shapes the minds of society. We know he’s not real. How is that relevant to the post?
What is sad, is that media does indeed warp the minds of society. In simpler terms, this is blue pill conditioning 101.

I hope we are on the same page and realize this banter is a joke. Though I agree with your sentiment.
Page in that
Ofcourse, of course, no doubt. Apologies for killing the mood. I enjoyed the banter.

It would be interesting to create a Thanos Tinder account sometime during one of the boring days of summer and see how many girls would match with him though, would he pass the 80/20 rule I daresay?

Thanos is misunderstood, I actually agree with his philosophy and don't think he is a villian. He's on his own personal hero's journey. He's driven convicted composed and maintains frame. Thanos is the good guy who stands up for what he believes in, the avengers are a bunch of SJWs who don't know any better they are selfish, misguided and short sighted
LOL, his philosophy is that killing half the universe will make resources less scarce. He's a Malthusian that seems to quite enjoy murder. There's a reason Malthus is the laughing stock of the economics world. Standard of living per capita has been rapidly rising with rising population, which is the complete opposite of what he predicted.

So you are assuming capitalism is practiced at the same or similar standard throughout the entire universe?
What effect would a cataclysmic disaster have on capitalism?
Does mother earth "cleanse" itself with natural disasters?

1. The modern day real world picture just shows what Malthus thought was inevitable wasn’t. In fact Thanos is more naive than Malthus because he never bothers to ask why the population doesn’t stop at a “steady state” where resources are not so scarce. The reason is PRECISELY because whatever starting population you have is irrelevant since they will just reproduce constantly until resources are scarce again. Thanos murders half of the world and the only difference is that he, at best, delays the resource fight a few generations.

2. I never mentioned capitalism. Capitalism was necessary for the industrial revolution but the technology has spread to socialist countries. Their issues are their political regimes, not population.

3. “Mother earth” does not have ends it seeks to achieve, so no.

Yea his philosophy is ****ed up but he's still more masculine at his core than every other character in those moves.

Defending a position and opposing another and applying a philosophy has no colloquial relevance

Mother Earth (also known as just "Earth") is not sentient. You must be sentient to have ends. You must be able to reason.

And what is the end in sight? Probably not what would actually happen: a reversion back to the old situation within a couple generations.

"Colloquial relevance"? You know words have meaning, right? You shouldn't just randomly apply them in sentences.

Humans are sentient, animals and plants. What are they a product of? Earth.... earth provides food, water, land. It can harness clouds to use water to create rain. It's has volcanic eruptions. Earth has an electromagnetic field
