Somebody should start a private tourney (make it a 1 dollar tourney nothing expensive) for Dj forum posters just for fun..

absolutepoker.com has 1 dollar private tourneys, but I don't know what you need to make your own private tourney.

Question, does anyone here use partypoker program?

If so, I heard you can enter their nonmoney tournaments and actually earn money to play at the real money tables, is this true? and if so, how does it work?

You can win like 50 dollars or spots into real tourneys

Pokerstars is probably the best IMO and has tons of freerolls or penny games. This is the site chris moneymaker came from

Other good poker sites that are well known are

partypoker
ultimate bet
and a few others

these are the known poker sites that people trust putting their money into. I would not try any other poker sites that arent well known.

Skel, can you tell me how these free rolls work for Pokerstars? I was reading through the site and it says you have to accumulate FFP points and its really unclear on how to do that.

you don't need ffp's to play pokerstars freerolls. I personally wouldn't recommend it because you will probably never win. It is a huge field of 3k + players for freerolls God has to be kind to you that day for you to win.

You can try to practice your tournament skills but just don't expect to win.

If anyone here has any ideas on free rolls in any of the programs like pokerstar, partypoker, etc etc

I'm not really sure how they work, but i'd like to find out

I have won 5 freerolls with over 2000 people in it so far. Of course i have been playing for 4 years now but I normally play real money tables. I studied poker for many years and read many poker books. I also play at Foxwoods monthly and am heading to vegas next week. Poker isnt as easy as it appears. MOst people will just say, oh its luck or oh its easy. Thats total BS. Poker takes a lot of knowledge of the game, not only with pot odds, implied odds, reading of hands, knowing your position and what to do with it etc etc. Its a game of skill with a luck factor. Anyone good can make money off poker but honestly it takes years of practice.

This is true in a sense. The more you learn about poker the more you realize that there is even more to learn
