I've read a lot of articles and posts on this site that say you should NEVER tell a chick you're interested or that she is hot. However, I have told girls these two things before and have experienced success. The reason it has worked is because as soon as I tell a chick I'm interested or she is hot, I completely back off. This causes the chick to wonder "what happened? He said he was interested(or, I'm hot) now he's not kissing my a$$. Did I do somthing wrong?". I just wanted to get some other opinions about this method.

It all works on a case by case basic. It's ok to let a girl know that you're interested but just don't be a thirsty bastard about the whole thing. Women want to know that you find them attractive but just don't go brown-nosing about the whole thing. I'm surprised none of these other jackasses offered any input to your question. I thought this was a place where we HELP PEOPLE but I guess people are choosy and only want to help themselves.

Just accept it as proof that the "Iron Laws" of PUA are not written in stone, and that it is damaging to try to squeeze yourself into compliance at all times with all directives.

I am an inner game guy, so my focus is always on where my mind is. Building a mental architecture takes work and time, but it is the only way. You come to see that the rules are indeed guidelines, and if your mind is right, they manifest themselves in your behavior anyway.

Fact is, there are guys out there straight up telling women they're interested every day, and it's working out for a lot of them. These are guys who have never heard of a pickup forum, I'm sure. If the girl likes him, she'll be pleased. It may not be the best way to go about things, but obviously with the right guy and the right girl it can work.

You're using a push-pull type of method - give interest then take it away. That's a pretty common tactic in pickup circles. You say you've had success with it. What happens next in your chain of events? I assume the girl starts to pursue you in some way.

Yeah man. Although it may be that we need more experienced people. I for instance don't have anything good to say other than what you just said.

 :moon: (thumb up butt) for those who don't want to help.

I'm still relatively new to this site, so I don't know what you guys suggest as your openers, but I use things like Shark's "I like you, I want to get to know you better" or, "You're very beautiful" openers (it's not set in stone and I don't use it in a way that sounds canned) and I've had quite a bit of success with it.

Yeah you kind of broke the rules about gaming by admitting interest through words and not actions. But the fact tha it was part of the more powerful push/pull routine, allowed the situation to play into your favour.

Honestly, a lot of the articles are bull****.
There's nothing wrong with telling a girl she's cute. Some dig it.
