I want an honest opinion about how I look, because I want to know ways I can improve. What I want is to get my foot in the door more often with approaches and I believe improving my looks can go a long way to that goal. I can’t shake the feeling that I come across as creepy during the approach. I don’t want to be creepy, so I’m swallowing my pride and putting up some pics.
I don’t really want to turn this into a looks vs game thread, I just want to make things a bit easier.

Don’t pull any punches with what you think needs to be done.

the same things everyone can work on...

hygiene, style, physique.

make sure you're well groomed and smelling nice at all times.

buy clothes you like, that you feel comfortable in, that accentuate your good qualities.

hit the fvckin gym!!! there is not a man on this planet who would not benefit an IMMENSE amount from a strong workout routine. your body gets stronger, looks better, and your confidence skyrockets. i started lifting regularly at 17, and i recommend that to every guy i talk to that isnt quite sure what to do with women. as (most) people agree with in the looks threads, it's all about making yourself the best YOU you can. working out and getting your diet right is the main thing you can do to affect that in a positive way.

Form fitting clothes would look better then those baggy clothes you are wearing.

I would also say gym as well.

You've got good masculine facial features, the only thing lacking is your physique and fashion sense. I'll tell you the priority in which to alter your physical appearance:
1. Get into heavy weightlifting - this is the most important thing if you want to become attractive, and it's pretty important for other aspects of life. Heavy squats + 40lbs of muscle will make anyone look like a stud.
2. Lose the excess fat
3. Learn how to dress properly and buy clothes that are tight fitting www.kinowear.com for more advice. Only do this once you have begun to attain a good physique
4. I assume you are going bald, so I'll say just shave off all your hair or keep it extremely short

Follow this and you'll become a very good looking guy.

I would agree with all of the above. You have a slight cave man look going on w/ your facial features, that's a good thing. More toned, wear nice, fitting dress pants and dress shirts and a little unique bling (index finger ring, classy bracelet, necklace etc.) to show some style. I would start by trying different looks (try the classy but casual look, the straight up classy look as examples (I doubt you'd pull off the rocker / goth look + your too old looking for that so start where it makes sense)) Go to a store and ask some hottie to help you put it together, try different styles out and see what you like, then try that look in the field. You'll know it works for you if you feel good about yourself and if you catch any glances from girls or catch them preening (messing with their hair) etc. If you go totally bald by shaving your head figure out a facial hair style that works and tan your bald head. Have seen that look a lot lately and it looks pretty good / masculine.

The good news is that you have potential. You look masculine and have decent bone structure.

Now, for the bad news. Overall you do not look 28 - you look a lot closer to 40. Fortunately this is fixable.

1. The pot-belly HAS to go, it makes you look older, and like you don't give a damn about yourself. You dont need 6-pack abs, but you should definitely try to flatten that bulge. http://www.livestrong.com/article/89746-quickest-way-flat-abs/

2. Tucking your shirt in just calls more attention to the gut, and gives you the fashion sense of a grandfather. If that's part of the work dress code its one thing - just dont EVER do that in your casual wear!

3. Arm and shoulders look pretty weak. You would benefit greatly from simple calisthenics. You dont even need a gym. Just buy a chin-up bar for ten bucks, install it in a doorway and superset your chinups with pushups. http://www.leehayward.com/super_sets.htm Do 3 sets of 10 every other day and work your way up to 3 sets of 20. You wont become Arnold but you will definitely fill out a little.

4. You are losing your hair, letting it grow in is absurd at this point. You should go completely bald, it will literally shave years off your appearance.

5. Some nice hats would spice your look up too. Have a look at some fedoras: http://i.bnet.com/blogs/bogart-smoking.jpg?tag=content;selector-perfector for a classical humphrey bogart look. If your style of dress is not that formal and you like to wear more casual stuff, give kangols a try http://www.highsnobiety.com/uploads/RTEmagicC_kangol_fragment_504.jpg.jpg

6. You look a bit too clean cut and boring. Try experimenting with facial hair, maybe even a nice 3-day shadow to give you more bad-ass factor.

How can you boys even tell that he needs to get bigger with that shirt of his on? Shouldn't he take it off so we can all get a better look?

Dude pretty much looks like every single guy in Serie A. Those guys get any young girl they want. Has nothing to do with the fact that they make lots of money. NO, money means nothing. All about the looks and selling mobile/cell phones at a mall kiosk in St. Louis. That is the key.

Actually, if he is cool he might think about just leaving for Italy and taking up soccer. Get in the habit of saluting Hitler with the millions of other Italian sport's fans who are still bitter that Hitler and Mussolini lost the war.

Dude, could work on becoming famed Italian soccer star, Paolo Di Canio, if he worked on looking tough.

Listen, you look like you just came out of Auschwitz.......No offense. Go to gym and start lifting heavy after a while. Shave the head completely. Buy some tighter fitting clothes. Not too tight. Put some meat on your bones. Gym, clothes, hair. Good Luck.

I think the closeup of your face is your best photo, which is good because thats the only thing you can't change.

Your looks can be a plus to you. I think you look like this guy.

Look through some of his videos.

To improve your style, start by copying others. Then as you go along you will start to make changes yourself for your preference and before you know it you're unique.

Ok, now this case is worth taking up.

1. You look 40ish instead of 28. If your work clothes need to be tucked in, cool, but don't tuck that stuff in for casual wear or regular clothes. You're calling attention to your bulge.

2. Shave the head. You'll look younger.

3. Work on your physique and fashion sense. For fashion sense and trendiness, get a girl to come with you and help you out.

4. Lose the boring, "I'm on a mission" swag.

I'm glad this isn't a looks (don't) matter thread. I thank you for that. Judge Nismo-4 wants to see some progress with this one. The jury has given some great advice to you. Plastic surgery isn't necessary for you. Just work on yourself with those four rules up there. That's my ruling.

Case closed. Keep us posted.

Rest assured, if I was a chick, I'd break it off in ya. You're above average looking.

Shave the head, grow some five o'clock shadow, dress in some track suits or whatever those Russian mobsters wear.

First of all sir. Please, please get a digital camera and go outside during the day and take a clear (non fuzzy pic) and we can see you better. As far as your fashion. You should've put up a pic of you when you are in a social setting. Everyone generally dresses up for work depending on the nature of thier job. Otherwise from what I've read I'd say take a fashionable female with you when you go clothes shopping and let them tell you what looks good on you, after all they are the ones checking you out right? Otherwise, look at GQ magazine, and those other fashionable mags. You can go to Macy's. They have different brands that can spice up your style. Look for clothes with patterns on them as opposed to just plain (doesn't apply to business casual stuff). I think you are a handsome man clean cut, obviously you seem like late 30's or early 40's. While it would be beneficial for you to go to the gymn, I think if you know the right stuff to wear you could still look good as you are. Oh, and smile.

Lose the gut, let the hair grow in longer. Right now you've got that prisoner look going on especially with the stern face.

Maybe some kind of facial hair? Whatever you think works best for you.

And of course, style. Get clothes for your body. Not baggy, not too tight.

Holy crap, you're 28?

Ok thats all good to hear.

Yeah I drink way to much coffee. And sorry about the crappy pics, and the work clothes thing, but I did this as a spur of the moment thing.

It's good to hear I have room for improvement, but one thing, I have a very bad scar on the side of my head that, well, I don't know about. I'll bite the bullet about it and shave my head to show you and let me know weather I'll be able to work around it or not.

what is it that makes me look so old? I've always been told I look older, but I'm kind of used to my own face, so I've never really got what makes me look that way
