I read Pook's article about how gaining weight and adding size is beneficial.

I started working out last month and I used to weigh 103 pounds, now I weigh 106 pounds. Is 3 pound gain normal in 1 month? (I'm 16)

And I am only 5 foot 6 inches. A lot of people say being short is a huge disadvantage... I think I am relatively short for my age group and I heard most guys don't grow much after 16?

I am thinking even if I am extremly muscular, I still would not be considered "physically attractive" because I am short!

Pook weighs over 200lb and looks great because he is over 6 foot. It'd be weird if I weigh over 200lb with my height...

So what's the ideal weight for my height for someone looking to become ripped?

Any tips for me?

3 pounds gain is small for one month. I can gain 3 pounds in a week. Even though you are short, you will continue to grow into your 20s, and if you are a late bloomer, this will definetly be the case. A guy your height should weigh about 150-170lbs. So get lifting. When you look jacked, this will make you seem taller and more physically imposing than you actually are.

You're 106lbs. There is no way you can get over 200lbs unless you take steroids or turn into a fat lard ass.

Stop stressing about it.

I wouldn't be too concerned with weight at all unless you have to weigh in for an athletic competition. Weight doesn't really mean anything. If you're simply concerned with what you look like, a mirror is a better tool.

Don't worry about how much weight you gain or what your "ideal" weight is, just start training and if you're happy with your size, stop trying to get bigger, and if you're not, keep going.

Eat more. You're 16 and still growing. All your energy is going to your metabolism to grow vertically.

Yeah, well since I am drinking 6 pints of milk a day, along with my a diet that means I eat alot, it's no surprise that some weeks I rocket up by 3 lbs or more. Most I have ever gone up in a week is 6lbs.

Ofcourse this has to be coupled with a good routine like stronglifts 5x5, otherwise it will just all be fat.

That's pretty absurdly skinny. I'm 5'7" and I weight 125 and people tell me that I'm a stick. I can't imagine weighing 103.
