So this 95 year old man in a nursing home dies after being tazered and shot with a bean bag by police. Supposedly he "threatened" police with a 12" butcher knife. Sounds like BS. Where's he going to get a 12" butcher knife in a nursing home? Besides he's 95 years old for craps sake. He may have been senile but it's just as likely he was being abused and overmedicated in the nursing home. That's pretty common.

A 95-year-old resident of an Illinois nursing home died early Saturday, hours after being shocked with a Taser and bean bag rounds in a confrontation with police.

Authorities said John Warna was a resident at Victory Centre of Park Forest, on the 100 block of South Main Street in the south suburb. He was threatening paramedics and staff with a cane and a metal shoehorn when police arrived at the complex, they said.

Police said they struck him with a Taser and bean bag rounds after he threatened officers with a 12-inch butcher knife.

Warna was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he later died.

A cause of death was not released by Saturday evening.

Picture a society where everyone has an RF-ID micro-chip implanted into his body. If you threaten police with a 12" butcher knife with just a click of the mouse you a "turned off", you can't use your money anymore, you can't buy food anymore, etc, etc, etc..

Until that time the police has to jerk-off using tazers and beating sticks.

Sorry, but I don't see the problem with either case, the old man or the woman in Costco. Do you want safety or do you not? What if the police mis-steps and that woman cut his jugular vein? I mean, the sh*t is what it is. Maybe we should invest more money in hand to hand combat for law enforcement? I bet no one wants higher taxes for that.

Are we talking about the circular pizza cutters? If so, Ive never encountered a pizza cutter that was sharp enough to cut someones jugular. Hell, most barely cut pizza well unless using very heavy forced most of the time.

Way to be a fool and not realize that I was agreeing with the main point of the thread which is that many police in this country are out of control idiots and use unnecessary force. Comprehension isnt a strong suit of yours is it?
