I thought I would share this little story with you guys about the true nature of a "nice guy" and why women hate them so much.

My girlfriend has been training to become a Geography teacher and during a school event about a year ago had got talking to this guy who was a teacher. He offered her some advice and encouragement and after this short conversation, she never saw him again.

Then about 2 months ago she received an email from this guy. He had been asking around about her and managed to get her email address. Now, instead of asking her out, he did the typical "nice guy" thing and wrote to her offering his advice and any help with teaching. He had researched some things for her and written out some criteria sheet for her. She found it a nice gesture and took him up on his offer.

In 2 months of emailing each other, he never once asked her out, asked if she was single or showed any interest in dating her. He kept telling her how much he enjoys talking to her, put too many kisses on his emails and was obviously supplicating to her by pretending to like everything she likes, but seemed not to have the balls to express his true intentions. Then one day he emailed her and generally asked what she'd been upto over the weekend and my girlfriend mentioned that she had been away with her boyfriend.

His next email was very abusive! He accused her of using him for all the help on teaching, kept going on about how he put himself out for her and how nice he was to her and she showed no grattitude. And worst of all, he started telling her she was too dumb to make it as a teacher anyway!

Basically he threw a tantrum because the girl whose ass he'd spent 2 months kissing had a boyfriend and wasn't interested in dating him. Now all of a sudden all the help he had freely offered and all his "nice" behaviour was his way of buying her attention.

My girlfriend and I let us read each others' emails, but usually choose not to. But she showed me these and it was a TYPICAL case of the "nice guy". I could see he had a hidden agenda to being nice, but she just figured if he's offering help she'll take it. She never lead him on, never flirted with him and actually he never flirted with her either, but obviously just friendly chatting was never what he wanted afterall!

The moral: "Nice guys" are actually not nice at all. They are a slimy, cowardly and get nasty if they don't get their own way!

this is VERY true - a GENUINLY nice guy would actually be someone whos suave and sweet naturally and wont flip outta nowhere like that,

an AFC is basically a pathetic manipulative peice of shyt who fakes niceness cuz thats wat he thinks will make girls melt, who flips out on a girl after he himself let her go and didnt seize the chance to even ask her out! and didnt get his way!!!

very very good real life example!!!!

yea the thing is, if a guy actually WAS nice, like really truly NICE, then technically, he;d have no problem being LJBF'ed by chicks, cuz hey hes just a nice guy and thats how he operates.....but an AFC is all nice and shyt and then when he gets LJBF'ed, he'll "next" the girl right away!!!

****in afcs, at least they make life easier for all the real pimps!

This is a good story but I have to admit to not finding your girlfriend completely blameless. I'm wondering why she couldn't have worked it in sooner that she was taken. I mean, how did she take all those email emoticons.

That said, that guy was a total chode. Classless too. And at least 85% of the blame lies with him.

Eh... just coming out and showing interest directly isn't best, sometimes, though...
