I need ur guys help on this one, my hands are always clammy n sweaty! Its the most annoying thing, i'm always wiping my hands to try to get them dry and i hate having to make contact with other people when my hands r sweaty. I would have thought they would be sweaty because of being nervous, but they sweat when i'm not nervous at all. Does any one know how to get rid of my clammy hands!?!?!

I have the same thing - i think its called Hyperhydraxia from a quick google search (would that not have been a more logical choice? :) ). Ive had it for as long as i can remember. Used to bother me loads...now it doesnt.

Ive taken to just ignoring it...if someone has a problem with shaking my sweaty hand they can **** off. Girls dont seem to have a problem with it and to be honist any girl whose not interested in me cos i have sweaty hands sometimes aint worth shi+ to me.

I see no reason to change this for the benefit of others and now ive got over it im glad i didnt invest any time or effort or money into 'sorting it'. Alot of peoples hands are sweaty from time to time so if anyone comes into contact with you they'l just think that its an occasional thing.

Although its not realy associated with worry - if your worrying about it in say the leadup to a handshake or something then its gonna be a bit worse.

To be honist i'd stop worrying about it cos i have and im getting on just fine :p (had a goood weekend). I feel more sorry for my sister who has extreamly dry hands (exema) and they frequently crack and hurt her...which is loads worse!

If you want 'treatments' look on google. But i wouldnt worry youself pal. Noone cares.

1. you live in my home town...cool.

2. did'nt I already talk to you about this on another site as well as the whole posting board including the moderator giving you expert advice?

3. If that was you then I guess you are looking for a magic technique to stop your problem. And I guess there is a easter bunny too.

4. your screen name says big peter. does that mean your overweight? If so then try loosing weight. your weight problem could stem from a poor self esteem which creates nervousness inside and you eat and your hands sweat alot. Learn to love yourself.

Peter, go to the store and buy "Certain-Dri". It comes in a bottle with a roller-ball applicator. Before going to bed - and after you're done using your hands for the day, coat your hands lightly with the liquid. Then rub them together, and air dry. Leave your hands alone until the next morning, when you can wake up and wash them off. Within just a day or two you'll have dry hands 24/7. Just make sure you don't start forgetting to put Certain-Dri (or the prescription form called DriSol) once your problem has been eliminated.

Hope this helps.

I'm not sure, but I think crazykid was making a joke. The one from the Simpsons when Carl had his word of the day calender. Or maybe I'm wrong?

Yes, it was a joke. "I conquer" = "I rule" while "I concur" = "I agree." Just having some fun here. :D

Dry-Sol works. I did not know about the non-RX brand. Thanks to who posted that but I can attest to the Dry-Sol.

i used to have that problem. i went for surgery... they insert tubes into your body, deflate your lungs, and then they cut some nerve. and they blow up your lungs again. its really effective. only side effects are you have sweating in other areas which becomes more apparent. its rather costly, with surgeons fee being about $4000 plus other hospital expenses. let me know if you want to know more about it... other than the side effects, the op is pretty safe, unless you have weak lungs or are a smoker...

Put some tissues in your pocket and before you shake someone's hand or touch them give them a quick wipe.
