Charles Darwin may not have been the typical Casanova, but he made some observations about life that stand unchallenged. One of those observations (with the help of other scientists) is THE INSTICT TO SURVIVE.
All life forms strive to live. All life forms have ways to reproduce, gain energy, protect themselves and alter their environment. Humans are no different.
So how does this connect with this board? It explains virtually everything.
1. If we were all humans living in the wilderness, would a human that was weak, unsure and scared survive longest? No, some greater and stronger animal would probably eat it. On the other hand, a strong, confident, persistent human being has chances of surviving longest. So naturally, a female human being would be attracted to the one that has greatest chances of survival, thus being able to protect a newborn baby. Being a jerk simply shows more potential for survival. Simple.
2. Challenge is the "nature of mankind". The human mind of a man was originally made to be strong, protective and confident. The mind was originally arrogant and probably ignorant and orderly. The man’s mind was made to be attracted to physical appearance. For survival and judgment purposes, the man needed to have these characteristics. Consequently, the mind of the woman had to be altered. So the woman’s mind became completely irrational and tolerant to abuse. The physical appearance of a woman was curved at the hips so babies could be delivered more easily. Because survival was first priority, the man is attracted to these features by chemical reactions.
3. Nowadays, the strive for survival is gone. No longer are big animals a threat. We just shoot them. Food isn’t a problem either. So slowly humans are losing this personality that women are so attracted to. To simulate this best we can, we can play sports, or stand straight, or show power in some way or the other.
4. Little things like compliments show to a woman that a man is interested. So, naturally, she likes it, because now she knows that the man is more willing to have a relationship with her. A man that is smooth and uses clever words also shows dexterity in the mind. A gauche person turns a woman off. Once again, survival.
In conclusion, a woman looks for the potential and probability of survival in a man. Every behavior that a man does that makes a woman fall for him is survival. If a man keeps in mind that a woman is looking for this famous survival personality, and acts in favor of it, then he will succeed.
