use an opinion opener just to get them talking first. i know its old but i still love "jealous girlfriend" then go direct and tell them you think they are cute. i wouldnt even bother asking them if they are single. most of them will lie anyway just to get you to stop talking to them. all you are doing is giving the girl an option to end the conversation. its the same thing as asking a girl "would you like to keep talking to me?" most of them will say no and walk away. as you can see after 32 approaches you ratio is not good. you will also find out that all the phone #'s you get will all be flakes and will turn into no dates. even if out of your 100 approaches this summer, and all 100 of them gave you their phone#, i'd be supprised if you got more than 1 date out of this experiment. you have to make a solid impression on ther girl if want the # to turn into a date. no 2 min conversation will ever get you a solid phone#, even if the girl thinks your cute. most of the time a phone # isnt worth the paper its written on, so focus on setting up a date instead. i also use this mentality, "you cant f.u.ck. a phone #" think about it this way, if you did the exact same thing you are doing now, but instead ask them if they want to f.u.ck. you would get the same results, about 1 out of 100. however you are doing a good job getting rid of your approach anxiety.
