..for my bros wedding. Truly honored of course. Never been a Best Man @ a wedding. It's also scheduled on my birthday too, which I find kinda trippy.

I am looking for suggestions and tips as to being the Best Man.

Is there a website for this? I had always thought the job of the BM is to make sure he gets to the wedding. ?????

I welcome all suggestions, and personal experiences on this manner. My thanks in advance...

Talk your brother out of it. You're probably the only person in the world he will listen to over anyone else.

As far as I know, your biggest responsibilities are arranging the bachelor party and giving a toast at the reception. Other than that, find out which bridesmaids are still "maids" and do your business.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

I've been the best man several times (literally and figiratively)

So here we go.

1) Listen to him b#tch as they argue over the slightest thing - she will turn into bridezilla - take him out for beers
2) organize the Bach. party - make sure he lives to tell the tail
3) Help out pre wedding and rehersal dinner - meet his family and direct traffic and be the general goto guy.
4) Take care of him the day of the wedding - ensure you've got a flask of booze handy for the big day.
5) Make sure your the goto guy. No one should bother the groom with stupid questions
6) Mingle - you should breach the gaps between family and friends as you are3 the man who knows both circles.
7) give a best mans speach. Get a book, it's worth it.

2. plan the bach. party, invite everyone, and the groom does not pay for it. so you will have to find out who can chip in for the cake and have everyone else pay their own way, and take turns paying the groom's way.

8. it is your job to look sharp in all the pictures!!!
