Suggested improvements to the Don Juan board

Also, I'll second the idea of a travel forum. It's good for us men to think of the world as our oyster, and savor the exotic.

What we also need in my opinion is an adjusted Don Juam Bible for non-US posters. I would say 80-90% is universal, but I find that not all of it can be used in Europe or Latin America. Body Language is different, customs, habits, parents' influence, religion, the whole cultural background plays into the dating/meeting women game to some extent and it (the Bible) should be adapted accordingly.

BTW, some DJs are going on vacation or are moving and sometimes post asking for advice. I would think that such a collection would be great for them too.

I was worried that this place would devolve into cesspool of obnoxious banner ads, but not yet. The 'sponsored links' ads are tolerable. Thankfully, they removed the flash animation crawl-over ads that popped up here a few months ago as well as other banner ads that were here for a while. The flash animation ads are the worst; they are like popups, except crawl over the screen obscuring the page below.

I agree with having a quiz. But to clarify against someone who though it was a bad idea, the point of the quiz isn't to force someone to pass to gain membership, but to see what knowledge they have and where they need to improve.

either a thanks/no thanks system, or reps for posts only, and not posters.

Some guy with eighteen green bars can make a crap post and some might think it is wisdom due to the overwhelming greenness

and then add a sorting function so you have the option of reading only the top rated posts instead of having to sort through a bunch of drivel to get to the meat.

Newbie forum. Not highschool forum, but straight newbie forum with Stickies that have important aspects of the DJ bible on em. Newbies can ask questions and get their answers. I'd also put the myriad of repetitive threads regarding getting old girlfriends back, introductions as a newbie and the sob stories, as well as requests from newbies for advice since htey don't know much to go here.

The stickies would be basic stuff like Kino, Push Pull, What a woman says versus what she does, basic places to go on a date.. etc etc...

The Tips and Archives should have neon signs saying "GO HERE!" in a metaphorical sense. They are gold mines of knowledge over the ages and it's there for that exact reason!

Discussion forum should be for... you guessed it, discussion! What works better? canned lines or C&F? Should you get a girlfriend? Should you bang every broad you can for the experience?

I see nothing wrong with Mature Forum and Highschool, hell you might even make a College/University one! Each one has it's benefits since it's geared towards a specific area.

A fashion forum... Mmm really i don't see it. too many different types of fashion and it's hard to say which one is the "best" one. I say leave that to the Anything Else Forum which of course i think should stay.

The Rep System needs an overhaul, but it's already in the works so i'm not worried.

Just basically keeping everything organized is teh hardest and most frustrating part of this forum i'd say. I don't even post that much anymore (unless i see something that really captures my attention) but it's mostly from lack of interest in discussing "Is my girl making out with another guy a reason to dump her?"

. Maybe new lower management, and call them Supervisors. We can have 10 of them. They can be the street cops, while the mods can be the federal agents. They new powers are:

. ability to move threads, but not delete them
. repuation from them is double
. modify troll and offensive posts, but not delete them
. rate the tips section


all this might also increase ad revenue too

I really liked the health and fitness section(only found out about it a few weeks ago). However, we must expand it. We are don juans, which I believe means not being better with women, but being a better man in general. We need a seperate cateory for fashion, nutrition, body Cleaning supplies(a FINAL say on soaps, shaving, detergents, facial cleaners, etc. or at least a nice big sticky), maybe a site link that summarizes the latest political happenings, and whatever else real DJs would define thier life.

I think the health/fitness forum is fine as is, it does not have nearly enough traffic to warrant hasslesome subdivisions.
