Today, I walked into my anthropology class and said to this cutie in fron of me:
me: we've spoken a couple times, but I didnt catch your name.
her: oh, I'm amy.
Me: are you ready for the midterm?
Her: Not really i'm kinda nervous.
Me: You'll do fine, just relax
(At this time, the professor entered)
Me: We better get ready, I'll talk to you later.
her: OK! (smile)
(This is after test)
Me: Hey amy, why dont you write down your number so I can give you a call over break.
Her: O.k. here it is.
Me: Thanks, I'll give you a call.

I would have never had the balls to do that if it werent for the help of casonova and gipper! It was a great way to start building my confidence, My attitiude was different when I was talking to her, I was in control!

i like it but replace the thanks at the closing with something else for next time. like an "alright" or anything that fits with you. thanking her for giving you her number just comes across as a little needy.

She probably didn't think about it but theres nothing wrong with adding a little polish in there.

Good job Whitey. I don't intend to bash your post, but I did notice one slight error you made when you asked for the phone number. You replied with, "Thanks, I'll call you." You should not have said thanks, because in your mind you should have been confident she would give it to you. It also shows some weakness. Should could have responded with "Great, I'll call you sometime." Or something to that extent. Otherwise good job and keep up the great work.
