Don't sweat about finals. I never studied for finals, just went in and took them.

study in the library, home has too much distractions (computer, television, people, refrigrator full of good food). If you go the library and you just sit there quietly, it forces you to do something constructive and actually study.

If you guys think those are tough... my first term last year was:
Calculus
Linear Algebra
Physics
Chemistry
Programming
and methods of engineering..

All I can say is, be damn sure you want to be an engineer if you sign up for it, the work load is BRUTAL.

I've switched to a program that combines CS and finance now, and it's still considered hard but I find it much easier..

I only have to take:
Algebra
Calculus 1
Intro to Financial Accounting
Business
And Psychology

All I can tell you for linear algebra is don't forget that property about the determinant of an identity matrix or something like that (can't remember..) That really simple property slipped my mind during the exam and I got creamed.

Do your studying just before you go to bed. Studies have shown that the brain processes new information, during REM sleep. You'll wake up refreshed and EAT LIGHT BREAKFASTS during test days.

Do you really solve your matrices by hand?

You can't use a calculator?
Row echelon methods take so much time and space.

Anyway, one of my favorite study methods is to reread the entire book.
Due it fast (a couple of hours) and write notes on all the important stuff. Then study off your notes untill the day of the final.

Then show up to the final and hour early and just re-read (skim) the book to make sure everything is fresh.

This always works for me aleast.

Of course I'm kind of scared about my thermodynamics final next week.

I've taken all those courses. They are hard and require studying. I'm studying finance right now in prep. for finals. If we try to focus now, we can do well on our finals. Trust me, it's worth avoiding a last minute freak out.
Really? I thought micro was easy as hell. Probably the deadliest part about stats and intro 2 accounting would be their tedium.

OP: Allocate your study time, spending the most time on your hardest subject and least time on your easiest subject. Calibrate your study time to how well you did on the midterms, making sure you don't unnecessarily overstudy.

When it comes to taking the tests, never get caught up on one problem, just skip it and come back. You should have plenty of time to finish, so always double-check your math on questions you might have had any problems with. Also, show your work for partial credit if you make a small mistake in your math.

Or just score some adderall. :D
