I like to go to the strippers now and again by myself. I can sit there and not raise a finger, I don't have to talk to a soul, and beautiful women parade their bodies in front of me while more beautiful women bring me beer.
It really isn't much of a turn on, just a way to kill time and get drunk. Most girls, while attractive and all, just don't perform radically enough for me to consider them interesting enough to be dating material. I'm a talented artist, musician, and performer, so I always keep my eye out for women with similiar traits anywhere I go, as we might be compatible.
Anyways, finally one stripper did stick out from the rest this summer. She had something really different going on, a familiar vibe, something that was even "artistic", that I thought "hey, this chick has some talent, and a different aggressive element that reminds me of....well, me!" (I always thought performing rock'n'roll isn't much different than stripping;it's a big show, a fantasy).
I made her laugh while she was onstage and later she hugged me and gave me a little part of her costume later on when I went to talk to her because my poster was stolen(though there were some other guys around looking for autographs, so I left soon after).
I went and saw her dance a week later, and she recognized me; she ran and got a poster since at the other club mine was stolen. We chatted a bit, but she had to go.
I saw her dance one more time, and I played it cool; I was trying to see if she would give me any signs of interest. That's a tough task when the girls are ALWAYS surrounded by men; but, she did notice from across the room before the waitress did that I needed a beer, so she called the waitress for me.
Now, here is where I am going to get some sh*t from some DJ's here, because I didn't approach her. She was chatting with some guy, and......
I chickened out.
That was a couple months ago.
The fact is, I'm still recovering from Social Phobia. I'd say for the most part I am very confident in myself and my abilities, but somehow I developed a strange nervous reaction to some people, especially those I desire to impress. Booze helps a bit, but not enough. DJing has helped, but the recovery process isn't finished yet. The good news is, when I am relaxed, I'm actually extremely good at charming the ladies.
Anyways, I belong to a couple of free internet dating sites and I check them from time to time to see if anyone interesting is on there. (I like to have relationships, dating a bunch of people is exhausting to me).
The other day, I swear to God I saw an ad in the personals from the same damn stripper I thought was so cool a few months before. Ok, it was a lousy webcam photo and she had no makeup on, but I'm 90% sure it is her. She mentions she used to be a stripper, but is doing something else, etc.
Cool thing is she listed in her profile a lot of the same personality traits and wants as I did in mine. This could be a match. We will see if she responds to my smile.... But then what?
