i've found that any girl as long as their not moveing will stop to talk to you.. i've had no problem with that except on a few occasions.

i mostly just open up with..

"hey, can i ask you something real quick?"
"uh, yeah!"
"how do you get to (this place)"

if i've feeling bold i'll ask how to get to a starbucks or something, and after they tell me tell them ok lets go.
