I was having a conversation with a good friend last night about the differences between "city girls" and "small town girls". Both of us have been involved with both types of women and we've had very similar experiences. I consider myself to be half city slicker and half small town.

We both came to the conclusion that most city girls are a pain in the a$$. Flakey, high maintenance, flighty, fickle, and not very down to earth/genuine.

While you could say the same thing about any woman I think you'll find small town chicks to be a little more real and down to earth. They might be tough to find in the big city but they are there.

Now I might be making a huge generalization here but in my experience this seems to be true.

I've lived in quite a few places from NYC to the Ozarks/bible belt, so I feel the same as you Slickster, half and half. And I've had my fair share of experiences that falls right in line with what you posted. One of the best I ever found was a sweet, petitle, little Tennessee girl, right smack dab in NYC.

Squirrels, Might be just the thing you should consider looking into.

These are the types of woman you pick up when you go to stip clubs, friday night parties and so on.

If you are looking for a real woman, a woman to have your kids and to call your wife, you are going to have a hard time finding her at a party on a friday night... at least one I would consider marring.

As I type this at a computer lab, an American woman next to me is giving a commentary on each and every dress she's looking at on the internet. What the f-ck?! She's sick and twisted and trying to get me to comment ... I ain't gonna. She's not cute, she's a moron, and she seems like she's missing many brain cells.

This is an example of what you're going through Squirrels. American women do indeed suck. All you did was hit on the average. In the golden old days, probably 40's and 50's, let's say about 7 out of 10 American women were decent to date.

I'd say it's about 3 of 10 now -- if that.

It's not you Squirrels, it's the women. Trust me on this.

I have a horror story from last weekend with a woman that I don't want to share right now until I'm done dropping the last f-bomb. Total American b-tch.

Squirrels i can see where you are coming from i also have lost faith in women also, i go out all the time, make endless efforts to get to know these strangers to my eyes and it all seems like its worthless.

I decided to take a break from chasing after girls and just do the things i like...it kinda sucks because i havent slept with a girl in like 4 months. I feel like a failure but i know in the long run i'm going to be the rich one, i'm going to be the man, all i am doing right now and studying and saving all my money. My main goal right now in getting into medical school....thats the only thing i want at this part of my life. I'm studying hard and kickin' ass....everything else is wet off my back.

Its going to be all good man, just chill and what is meant to be will be.

Relationships are very hard and really fvck my head up sometimes....thats when you need to step back and relax. Dont lose sleep over these stupid ho's. The average girl makes me sick.

Short story:
I was in a shop getting a hair cut yesterday by myself surrounded by various people including girls. Just from looking at these people i almost wanted to puke, everyone in that place was just making me feel sick. The way they talked, the way they were chewing gum, all their actions just made me want to puke. It got me so depressed looking at those people in that place. I was so thankful i was'nt any of them. Even the girls in that place seemed so sicking and superfical, i wouldnt even both DJing those ho's.

Be good man....you probably have a lot to be thankful for. If you dont think everyday is a good day, try missing one.

give me a break, john. squirrels is a big boy, he can handle a little shake up. sometimes a pity party is not the answer. sometimes you have to grow a thicker skin. if you can't read between the lines, then you are missing the point.

squirrels, i meant to be harsh. yup, i did. but now i won't be. stop looking! stop looking at women. if they are that bad right now, then maybe you have lost the taste for them at this moment in your life. i feel how you do, alot. completely discouraged and faithless in men. but what are you going to do? alot of people will tell you "its you", and maybe it is. maybe you are growing right now, and you need to be alone to get where it is you are going. "growing pains".

i don't know what to actually say to encourage you, as i feel the same discouragement. someone is out there for you? hopefully, right? at the end of the day that is really all you got. a flickering flame of hope, to get you through the darkness of discouragement.

I agree with you on this one iqqi. the problem is however that guys say this to themselves all the time. There is really no reason to repeat it. I'm sure this guy knows what it means to be a man. he doesn't need you (a woman) to tell him otherwise.

Every man has a right to feel down every now and then.

The reason this guy is not having sucess is because he is not being picky enough. The fact that he has dates so many different types of women suggests that he is unsure about what he wants.

Today's woman is nothing like your role model of a perfect LTR woman: i.e. your MOTHER. (and no, I do not have an Edipus Complex)

Let's face it fellas, for most of us, our ideal LTR woman would have have many of the traits our mothers possess - strong minded, family oriented, can cook, can clean, can handle any situation with class.

Back in the 60's-70's, women were expected to cook, clean, and be good wives...yes, many had jobs - but - the goal of a good wife was to stand by her man. I'm not being a neanderthal - this is just how it was back in the day. So this is what we see of our mothers...and this is how we want our future wives.

Unfortunately - today's woman didnt grow up in the society our mother's did. With Britney Spears kissing Madona, Girls Gone Wild Everywhere, tons of internet porn, and more women becoming independant from men...the traits of the ideal woman are gone. Think for a second about the last woman you dated who knew how to REALLY cook - I mean the way MOM used to cook.

The fact is, woman and society are changing. Woman are becoming more independant and aren't jumping at the chance to be married. In the next few years - I wouldnt doubt that every guy on this forum will be dating a woman that has at least tongue kissed another woman...try saying that 20 years ago about your mom. Morals are going down the drain ya'll...

Perhaps if in some way this described my mother, which it does not, I might actually have agreed with this post. She was born in '45 so she should have been part of the 'supporting generation.'
