Got a common sense question here..
I am 30, went to salsa class today, dance partners are rotated every two minutes. One of my rotation girl, age 24 maybe, was doing some moves and a lady, age 40, behind her accidentally stepped on her toes and her toe nail came off.
Immediately, she rushed out of the dance studio with her hand bag before I realize it is a serious issue.
Both me and the woman stepped on her went to see her 10 mins later in the hall way outside (thinking about it, I should have followed her out..,? I was kinda frozen and just carry on the class). The studio staff have already given her a bandage and some tape but left her there.
Some random guy was giving some random advice. E.g. don't put on your high heel for couple weeks, put some ice, etc before walking off. No doctor/ first aider around. I am a first aider, but she is already wrapping the feet up and thats what I would have done anyways.
It is 10pm already and I thought about driving her to the hospital emergency, but it is going to be a long wait before getting seen and I value my sleep... I proposed it and she said don't know. The woman that stepped on her jumped in and said no need for that..just wait to see someone in the morning.(?!)
After that we walked her to the car and see her drove off.
Another thing is I could have offered but didnt is to driver her home, but looks like she can drive herself and I don't want to look like a weirdo preying on injured woman...
The thing I didnt do is take charge of the situation, because I know if I did, I would just wrap it up and take her to the hospital at the cost of my sleeping time. Although she is blonde and look sweet, but we literally just met couple minutes ago and all we said was "hi"... I am semi responsible for her injury as I am the leader in the dance but arguablely if I were to lead her to any other directions, chance of her getting step on is almost the same.
Would you have done anything differently? Alpha mans.
Or any similar experiences care to share?
