^How much?

Like I said, my hard drive chassis is not the typical kind - it's small, reduced to save space. Check out the link of my computer which I've procided (the 4700C- model). Will I have space to put in another drive/motherboard?

The new hard drive doesn't have to be permanently installed right now. It can even just lay on the bottom of the chassis until you get everything copied over. Then remove the drive, take the PC to a repair shop, and get it fixed.

I'd say buy one from BestBuy or somewhere with a 14-day guarantee, install it, copy everything over, remove it. Immediately take your PC to the repair shop. If you get your PC back and they didn't have to nuke the internal drive, then you can install the new drive again, delete everything from it, and take the new drive back to BestBuy to get your money back.
