Remember that your blood-niccotene levels have a 2 hour half life. That means, every 2 hours, the amount of niccotene in your blood is halved. After 72 hours, you no longer have niccotene - nor does your body crave it. After that it's only your mind that has yet to accept the change from smoker to ex-smoker.
Get rid of the mentality that you'll ever be a non-smoker. You never will. One puff for you will be enough to reawaken that smoking beast in you, whereas a non-smoker could take a puff, cough, and not have any effects. You can only be an ex-smoker now.
Oh... and here's a mentality tip:
DO NOT tell yourself "I will never smoke" or "I quit forever", cause then, where's the room to celebrate?
When you wake up in the morning tell yourself "I will NOT smoke TODAY". Don't worry about tomorrow, take it one day at a time. At the end of the day, allow yourself a celebration and a reward. Abstain from something you enjoy, and use it as a reward for not smoking, for example: chocolate or sweets, or a certain drink.
That should really simplify it for you.
Edit: Oh, let me also tell you about trigger caused cravings. I used to get 'em whenever I ordered another beer, for example. Or when a long time smoking buddy lit up. Remember, that these cravings only last 3 minutes. Avoid telling yourself no, as that'll make it mre difficult. Rather tell yourself: I'll light up in 5-10 minutes. With the mindset that you won't light up, you'll easily trick yourself into not smoking. As the craving will have already passed.
