This is from Doc Love but to the point nonetheless.

You ask 30 girls for their phone number:

- You will get blown off by 20 of those girls (some will have boyfriends, some will not be at all attracted to you, some will like you but always blow off guys in general.)

- Of the 10 numbers you get, 7 of them will turn your date offer down or you will never reach them in the first place or they already have boyfriends.

- Of the 3 dates you get, 1 will flake out and not show, 1 is just leading you on and looking for free meals.

- And 1 of those girls will actually like you and show up for the date and want to see you again.

Maybe the numbers are off a bit, but the general principle is valid. The odds of hooking up are never 100% and might actually be closer to 3%. Its just the way it is. Move on and find Girl #30.

The thing is that after the girl got irritated by waiting several days and thinking he would never call he should have called sooner after that which wouldn't have flaked her of most likely.
