When somebody tells me to step my game up, it's because I failed a simple sh!t test, or I got caught in a lie, I didn't follow up on leads, I didn't take a hint, I didn't approach who I should have.
There are TONS of reasons man, it's just saying your game is lacking.
So if it bothers you, there must be something more to the situation.
