I go in for a routine medical procedure yesterday morning. They have to put me out for it. Outpatient.

Nurse comes in and tells me to put on one of those gowns where your a$$ hangs out in the breeze. I do. Then I'm laying on the gurny and the little cutie 30's nurse is doing my IV. She looks at my watch and says "wow! is that an *****?" I told her it was. She says "those are expensive. what do you for a living?" I tell her. She asks where I live and I tell her. She says "those places are nice!" Then she asks me "is that your wife out there in the waiting room?" I said yep, it is. She says "your wife is pretty!"

Point here is that some chicks just dig money and status. That little nurse will probably marry some rich doc and he'll be dumb enough to marry her. Then she'll take half his stuff in the divorce and start fvcking her pool boy.

Its always nice to see the elders of the forum to joke on a topic.

About the topic nothing to add 5string said it, the problem is that many users in this forum make the mistake to think that a high social status is more than enough to keep a girl.

More precisely that like about her divorcing from the husband and leave with the pool guy is the same line I used about 10 days ago on a thread status vs look and many users tought that what its necessary to be the top dog among men is the same that allow men to get and KEEP women.

While a hot body and a cute face is more than enough to get a married woman and cuckold her old wealthy husband in many cases wheter he is a rich doctor or some powerful CEO manager.

AAAAAnyway...you have to consider the kinds of guys who hit on girls. It's usually NOT the attractive, successful, smart, fun guys that they WANT to be dating. It's USUALLY the scrubs with a whole lotta balls and nothing to lose by trying.

Women are always looking for that guy who's successful but doesn't actively advertise it...they figure, like we do with "quality girls", that there must be a million of them out there that they just aren't seeing. ("ALL men can't be this bad!")

Don't be surprised...be proud. And don't "hate" on her for looking at those kinds of things. Guys LOVE to "hate" on women for looking at superficial indicators of success, but that's because most guys are beta sh!ts. They feel like women are being "unfair" in demanding more of their men, instead of trying to improve themselves to reach that status.

Also, you should examine the possibility that she was just making conversation. Remember- it's her job to make patients feel comfortable, and lots of nurses will give compliments like these in order to do so.

Nah, I wasnt hating on her for sniffing out my info. I was actually flattered. I guess it boils down to two things.

1) You have a woman who might be a goldigger or
2) Like Jeff said, a woman looking for the best possible provider/mate

Doesn't matter though, she knocked it off after she found out I was married.

I agree, except for the "most of all" part (you did say "arguably", tho). I would say these indicators are dead even and just a fact of human existence.

Interestingly, with my last BPD I never had her over at my place and I always picked her up in - get this - a Windstar minivan! I left the good car at home because I wanted to experiment and see what her values were, as she lived in a very wealthy part of Ct.

Much to my surprise, I could easily see that she didn't care one iota about what I owned. It was all about the greatness of her Atom.

It's unfortunate that I found her BPD behavior intolerable, because her value system as far as wealth is concerned was admirable

When I was in my early 20s I was quite insecure and somewhat shy. I had to go to the gastrointerologist for a sigmoidoscopy, which is a shallower version of a colonoscopy. They check about the first (or you might say last) 10 inches or so with a non-flexible device.

While in the waiting room, much to my delight I found myself chatting with Maria, the receptionist at the window. She was really cute and had a very charming personality, and I was really enjoying our conversation. Of course I was entertaining thoughts of asking her out.

Finally I was called into the office, and once in my gown the doctor had me kneeling on the table, not on my side but with my head down and my butt up in the air. He started inserting that malevolent device of his and sucking out unspeakable substances and gasses while doing his spelunking.

Right in the middle of all this, he called out "Maria, would please come in here to assist?"

Maria walked into the room in full view of my junk hanging down just swaying in the breeze from the rear. You could hear little fart sounds as they sucked the air and other samples out, and I can only assume those sounds came from me!

I left there with my tail between my legs, as embarrassed as a "man" can be. I still remember the emarrassment and the feeling of the remaining lubricant sloshing between my cheeks as I walked to the car.

Nowadays I would probably think it was funny, but back then it was a rough go.

There truly are women out there who dont give a hoot about their man's economic status---TO A POINT. For example, my woman doesnt care how much I make, but if I were making minimum wage that might be a problem, because she would be footing the bill for everything. Above and beyond a livable income, it doesnt really matter. This is just her though. I've known a lot who are different.

All other things being equal, women will always have the inclination to marry up, or be hypergamous as Rollo is fond of saying. It's no different than a man's inclination to go to the younger and more beautiful woman.
