I'm breaking down my progression from AFC to DJ in a few phases.

1) No longer caring.
I'll do this as long as it takes, as it's one of the more important aspects. This encompasses the mindset that it's all just kind of a game, and that you'll mess up, but it's as easy as trying again.
2)Image/Projection
This in part will be built upon number 1, as I want to project an air of not-caring. Additionally I'm talking here about building body language skills and projecting confidence. Essentially, learning to look like the man when you walk into a place.
3)Conversational
Pretty self-explanatory. The goal is to be able to converse efficiently; I want to be able to hit all/most of those attraction "switches" with my conversation.

Steps 1-3 will be implemented into daily life, it won't just be a field thing. Steps 4-6 will be at parties and such where I'll actually put it all together.

4) Successful PUs
Here I will strive to get PUs. The number doesn't matter, neither does an exact time frame, but the idea is to show myself that I can do it. I'll also start noticing patterns, personal flaws, etc.
5) Developing and perfecting a routine
I'll take what I've learned during 4 and then start sitting down and developing a gameplan of sorts. From 4, I should start seeing stuff that tends to work well, and other things that don't work quite as well. So, with that in mind I'll develop a solid routine that will have mostly positive results.
6) Test
At this point, it'll be about proving it to myself that I've got what it takes.

Anyways, I'll do occasional updates. Anyone who wants to do this step by step thing with me is welcome. Tommorow I'll begin focusing solely on step 1. The main idea with that is to train myself to see life as a videogame. Once I (and hopefully we if someone wants to join) no longer have to TELL myself to think of it as an unimportant game, then I/we will move to step 2.

NOTE: Steps 2 and 3 may need to be broken down into smaller groups, as conversation and body language aren't just simple things.

Okay, so day 1...I've got a better idea of the 'videogame' viewpoint. It seems like you have to dehumanize people you aren't interacting with. It sounds bad, but I simply mean thinking of them as an actual...character, and not as a person with opinions. In other words, imagine that you're playing GTA. Anyone who isn't a main character is just kind of...filler.

Now, I think the benefit of this type of mindset is that you could eliminate self-consciousness, caring, etc.

I think I'm going to focus soley on this until I have it down. Once I have that, then I'll work on 'stepping out of myself' during actual interactions. By that I mean, being able to kind of view myself and actively think about what I'm doing and saying.

Well if you follow #1 then you shouldn't care about #2, #3, etc...
