Actually sounds like a pretty solid day when you end up hitting a new deadlift record, good job!

I know for me, if I eat too many carbs before training I feel tired and sluggish. But, some days are good and some days are sh!tty. Just gotta keep pushing through it!

I've been gone for a few days... I may have had a bug or something, I did not feel on top of my game this past weekend. Had some issues with my girlfriend, life problems. Lol, that sounds ridiculous... but I feel renewed this week. My lifts suffered a bit too. But, despite a very lackluster diet, a poor level of motivation, and feeling less than great, I have actually lost a few pounds and my strength is still going up, albeit, not like it was while I was eating lots of food.

07/18/2013

10x105
6x125

Side Lat Raises
10x17.5
10x20
6x22.5

High Pulls
10x95

I felt awful at this point and quit.

10x55
10x270

Front Squat
10x125

Again, I didn't have it in me to finish this up.

Finally, a good lift.

Bench
10x195
6x230
5x235 (tied my previous record)

Dips
10x bodyweight + 5lbs
6x bodyweight + 25lbs
6x bodyweight + 35lbs

Incline Bench

6x185
6x190 (new record)

Chin Ups
8x bodyweight
8x bodyweight
4x bodyweight (5th was failure)

Concentration Curls
5x35
5x35
5x35

After the chin ups, my biceps were done.

BTW, I have a question... I developed an inguinal hernia last year and had to have it surgically repaired. My max squat before I had to quit lifting was 325lbs x5 and my surgeon told me he things that the heavy squats caused the hernia. As I've been approaching this maximum again, I am starting to develop pain again in the same place I developed the hernia. I don't want to re injure myself and have to have another surgery... I don't want to cut out the Squat but I am not sure what to do. I am going to skip legs this week and hopefully I will be feeling better next week.

Do you guys have an opinion about what I should be doing to avoid literally reoppening an old wound?

07/24/2013 Lift

My stamina is down for some reason lately... maybe its not and I'm just lifting heavier. I don't know. But I made it through!

DB Pullover
10x45
10x55
6x60

Wide Grip Pullups
4x bodyweight (5x)
3x bodyweight (4th rep failure)

One Arm Rows
10x65
10x70
6x75

Bent Over Rows
10x120
10x140
6x150

Deads
10x265
10x280
6x305

The deads were rough... I took some 1 min or maybe a little longer breaks in between some of the reps. But I finished, and that's what I care about.

Good work ebracer!

Sorry I don't really have any advice for the hernia issue. Do you wear a belt when you squat? Might need a professional opinion on this matter...
