Week 2 - Day 1
I've embarked on the scary mission of week 2: have 10 2-10min convos
And it feels great
I've read all the required material for this weeks boot camp, but only skimmed through the articles about the art of conversation. I have a bit of experience with this site and its influence on me and I know I've been focusing on the theory part of "the seduction process"
too much in the past, that's why I am more focused on the exercises.
Anyway about the exercise, I made a goal for myself to complete it in 5 days and I think this mark can be achieved with a little self control.
I've already got my first conversation, but I want to have atleast 2 by the end of the day.
About the convo I am home alone today so I have to make lunch for me and my family, I didn't have a clue what to make, so I thought to myself I should ask a stranger
.
With that idea in my head, I went to the streets a bit nervy but determined, ( have to say the mention of the 3 second rule helped quite a bit). So walked for a bit, then I see a granny walking on the street, the anxiety grew even more. But my determination was decisive, I started with an eye contact and hello, and then almost without thinking said if she could help me out with my problem.
She gave me some simple pasta recipe (I think she was scared I'll burn down my house), and we talked about it for aprox. 2 mins and then split our ways.
I noticed she was really helpful and friendly, but kind of caught off guard with the question.
The feeling afterwards was great, because I see the change is already starting (I would never do that before, at least not without a good reason)
I could have talked a bit longer if I wanted to, forgot about the goal for a second there.
For the future convos I'll try to meet other kind of people (grannys are easy pickings), and also try to talk longer
P.S. Does talking to a salesperson count? That's kind of easy because they are obligated to talk to customers, but most of the people don't talk to them
