Appear taller, look more confident, feel more confident. That is all.

Standing up straight seems pretty obvious, but I used to slump when I was a teenager. Proselytiser has a good point about keeping you chin parallel to the ground, I used to let my head slump forward. I had a friend who was very good with women. His mother always used to tell me to stand up straight. Looking back, it's no wonder he was good with girls, he was probably getting good advice on how to present himself right from the start.

My parents were great in other ways, but they didn't try to correct my posture. Or if they did, I didn't listen to them. Things like that can sometimes carry more weight coming from someone outside the family.

Let's not forget to take more time than the usual when we're walking... it adds finesse and class.

There's no reason to walk like a hungry dinosaur that's trying to get from point A to B.....

I've been doing the slow cool deliberate walk lately, I like it.
I remember reading in the past that if you walk fast, people will think that you have a busy life and a lot of important things to do, so that's kind of the opposite. But I've seen the slow walk recommended a lot too, and it's most likely better if you're going to be engaging people as you go.
