http://diaryofwhy.blogspot.com/2009/08/why-im-not-getting-any-less-single-here.html

Here is my theory: I missed the window. I missed that crucial 24-27 window when everyone finds the person they want to eventually settle down with.
And after six months of trying the best I could do was a very sweet guy who I just couldn't fall in love with.
Do I even have to mention that my window theory only applies to women? Think about it. If an even remotely attractive and intelligent guy for some reason finds himself single again at 29, just watch how fast he's snatched up. So why is it that what for him is an asset becomes a liability for a woman of the same age? Because it's the law of supply and demand, people, and an unattached 29-year-old guy is a hot commodity. Meanwhile the market is saturated with women just like me. Intelligent, reasonably attractive women in their late twenties and thirties are a dime a dozen.
But damn, dating is different at 29 than it was at 24.

would that be independent confirmation of what's being said around here, then?

we have a friend, who i met through my wife when i met her, she is single, 25 years old when met, 28 now. your avg attractive blonde blue eyed white girl, 5'6 or so, 120 ish pounds, elite level rack

i watched her basiclaly play around with 3 guys in 2 years, then comment on how she wasn't in real love with them, each time she would met a guy at the club or some random guy, **** his brains out for a month or two while breaking up with the other guy, only to find out that the new guy was pretty much a loser and not LTR material. one was a addict who relapsed very badly and stole money from her.
]
3 years later she now says "all the guys i'm attracted to are either gay o r taken"

i am not going to say the 3 guys tha tshe didn't didn't have heir issues, they were pretty run of the mill AFC's, but at the same time, all three had great careers, all three were guys that are going to provide some woman with a nice family one day. she broke up with one of the guys because he "works too much and doesn't have enough time for me". \

men and women make the same mistake, the mistake of thinkng that nothing chances from the early 20's.

women fall into the trap of thinking that men will always be mesmorizy thei poon and the thought of them in 6 inch pumps and becuase guys treat me this way now, they will always treat me this way as long as i'm not fat, etc.

men fall into the trap of thinking that i can't get any now, no woman likes me, i'm not attractive, so i need to getn while hte getting is good and settles down with the first woman that shows him any real interest,l usually vastly under sales himself.

The avg 22 year old woman cannot envision a world in which guys aren't falling over her. The avg 22 year old guy cannot think of a world where he can walk into a bar and have every attractive woman posturing for his attention, without him not being a rock star or james bond.

one thing i will give my old oneitis credit for, she knew how the game was played and settle down with the best guy she could at 25 while she still "had it".

I love the comments. It reads like a post-Wall recovery group.

If she's as you describe her, things shouldn't be as bleak as she describes them. An attractive, fit, blond, single, big breasted 28 year old woman who has not blimped out yet should find herself appealing to any number of guys in their 30s or even 40s.

I'm sure she does miss the way things were at 24 though, when no doubt every card in the dating game was lined up in her favor.

How do explain this phenomenon of being attracted to gay guys? They teach on this forum that only true masculinity attracts females (see half of Pook's posts). So what's with the gay guys? A lot of them may be good looking, well dressed, and maybe more social than your average guy - is that all there is to it?

No they are not all gay, they are most likely either a AFC that couldn't seal the deal with her OR they were guys that saw through her like a pane of glass and found out she's a really shallow insecure weak being that only looks good on the outside but is really messed up on the inside.

Thus both these types of men blow their chances or can't be bothered to game her and are called "GAY" by her.

I love how the tables turn after 25 and being from generation Y it's given me a bit of inner peace seeing all these princess type girls get left high and dry after they hit 25. Will be even more interesting seeing my younger cousins generation Z go through this at a much higher rate and speed.

Gay and taken guys (she mentioned both) are unattainable. Plus, in making that kind of statement, she's created a very convenient excuse to relieve herself of any responsibility in her own misery. It's one way women can play their victim card to get sympathy. Come on, you're smarter than this, old zekko. :)

Women who are having trouble 'finding men' should reflect and ask themselves what they are bringing to a relationship. money? looks? BJ skills? Start giving and stop taking.

The princess mentality is unsustainable.

Then again there are tons of stupid dudes out there willing to marry any single poon that comes a calling.

I"ve been called gay quite often, becuase I'm a dandy and becauase I don't hit on alot of women.

In my experience, if you are well groomed/well dressed and don't hit on a woman that is throwing you all types of signs for you to make some move, they usually assume you are gay

she's put on a few, as in a few like 10 pounds since i met her, but she's stil cute.

It's not that she isn't attractive, I suppose that the guys are just more valuable now then they were 3 years ago. big difference between a 24-26 year old guy and a 28-31 year old guy.

Good points BB. Your analogies of your 28 YO friend are VERY common to that age range/type of woman throughout the country.

Haha, awesome. I know a hell of a lot more than I did years ago, why are some women so static in the abilities they contribute? So while I was making more money, starting a business, cooking better, hitting the gym, and learning some new techniques in the sack... you still can't give a decent BJ.

She's feeling the balance of power start to shift beneath her feet and she doesn't like it.

It's always amazed me at how well women cope with this reversal of fortunes. Emotional creatues that they are, I would think it would destroy them. I guess they're raised to expect it, and prepare for it, just as we all know we shall wither and die. Maybe the whole "divorce a guy and take half his money" phenomenon is in part an effort on their part to regain some of that lost power and control.

This reminds me of a girl i used to work with. Lets just say in her case HB now stands for HAS BEEN : ). when she was 22 she had AFCs ( sadly i was one of them) lined up around the corner and she would only go for the tall, square jawed, athletic guys and and eventually ended up with a bad boy 6' 3" hockey player who beat her, eventually got her knocked up, and now she is 28, 30lbs overweight with two kids in tow and the guys that used to fawn over her want little or nothing to do with her.

The SAD thing is she still believes she'll find a REAL man who will take care of her flabby azz and her offspring as long as he's 6 feet tall, athletic and brings in 60k a year
