I've stopped surfing here, and come here like a hundredth of time as I did before. I love this site. Sometimes I just visit it with the intent of helping some guys out, and/or reading something great, some from posters who always deliver like Rollo, tits, and PRL, or fun stuff like the apocalypse opener, etc. Sometimes I just open the site and am interrupted and have to do other stuff.

Some people always complain on how SoSuave either isn't improving, or is going crab-like.

Immediate logic would make one think that as time passes, SS should improve at the speed of light, because newbs come here, grow up, and then pass on the knowledge. Yes, there are always guys that seem never to understand, but with every act of afc stubbornness they are one odd closer to the DJ path, their odds increase.

So, one would think that these hundreds of guys who come here daily in turn make the site a better place, since they are getting more and more experience and having a better life, and come here and post. As Pook pointed out, they begin coming more and more to the Anything Else section, and less to the others. And finally stop visiting and/or posting.

Well, we should be proud! The unnoticeable, baby step improvement by SoSuave means we all have contributed to make world a better place. Some continue to do so, other dont, not on this site at least. And it is better that way, change starts in your house, your block, your community...

Allthough, it would be nice to see more of us.

bottom line is you need to be able to sort through the bullsh#t. I frequent a stock trading forum and there's TONS of valuable information there, but there's an equal amount of crap. Guys complain that the site is going down hill and say they wouldn't recommend a newbie to go there b/c there's so much useless info there.

My argument is you just need to be able to sift through the crap from the gold. Have a sharp eye, take in everything and judge for yourself. This site is a gold mine if used correctly !

imo this place is a good eye opener
that we actually don't have to buy girls flowers and all the stuff that's shown on tv
after that, the site sort of falls flat on it's face with regurgitated topics day in day out
for people who want to progress further, they need to go somewhere else
but i still hang around Anywhere Else out of habit

The problem is noobs aren't willing to read things first before they ask. Sure, reading the DJ Bible would take weeks depending on how much time you have, but if you have read it all and understand it all then you quite simply will not have to ask anything but the most advanced stuff. Too many people want a quick fix; not enough people are willing to put in the hard work and read the materials thoroughly before asking anything. Really, the materials answer all your questions. Anything else should be discovered out in the field.

True but they aren't even reading the updated DJB which could read in a couple of hours. Guys aren't willing to do the work to actually learn how to be successful are getting advice from a bunch of guys who haven't done the work themselves. Can you say the blind leading the blind?

Man, I hear you and RSF completely. I truly do not need to come here for assistance. As of lately, it's more like PM'ing and reading the DJ bible. I've been applying everything like crazy and I've gotten some hits already and KNOW that I have true potential. I barely use the H&F forum which is why I originally joined here.

What I really hate and is driving me away are the people who've recently joined and basically plagiarize and get overly-repped for it:down: They enjoy self-validating while bringing others down and there are more than one of them. To each his own, but when I reach middle age you won't find me posting that crap or talking about the MATRIX:moon: I'm not referring to you Francisco, because after all, it's YOU that has helped me the most...and you're not a phony.

Glad to hear that I wasn't the only one to notice this.

Be a man on your own terms, work within your own perception of reality and sidestep what everyone else throws at you if it's not conducive to your belief system. And most of all, your only real competition is yourself. "There is no spoon." :p

Oh yeah, glad that I could help you get started on your journey.
