Do you guys remember the Fa1 Fa2...Fa7 guy that spamed the forum with KKK text a few days ago?

Well I think he is gonna attack again. I just saw that Ru1 registered, and Ru7 is activating registration

It sounds fishy to me

Edit: Yeah I just checked the members list and Ru1 to Ru7 all registered today. And if you look at his profile pictures he puts pictures related to the "Mafia" like last time

It would probably be a good idea if we all start taking responsability (as Sosuave members) and start keeping a close eye on the new members (bottom of main index page), especially since the guy is determined to shut the forum down, and has struck again.

all this guy wants is attention. Im all for the proposed limit on threads made by a person in a day. Most of the time the 2nd thread a person makes a day is just complainin about a thread that got deleted. If people get limited to the amount they can post on the internet, I wouldnt call it a bad thing...

Really though the threads dont affect me. I just have to click page 2 to get to what is page one.....oooohhhhhhhhhh the agony!!!! :moon:

I don't know if he's using a fixed IP or a dynamic one, but I'm sure you mods can see it. Even if he's using a dynamic one, everytime there's an "attack", just erase everything that has been registered/posted recently using the attacking IP and seeing his "work" erased within seconds will only discourage him from a future attack. Plus you can put a temporary ban on that IP for a few days, it also works pretty well.

only the admin can ban his ip , unless he has given some other mod the power to acsess the admin board... but sicne the admin only visits the board liek maby once a year there is almost no chance that someone can ban his ip....

Are you sure? If it's the case, then the system is NOT very well designed. Why giving mods the ability to ban usernames while they can't ban IPs, it's simply useless. On all the boards I've seen so far, any spamming equals at least a few days of IP ban.

He uses a proxy IP (in other words, his IP changes) so he can't really be IP banned. We do our best to keep his garbage off of here. I think we need to just by him a puppy or something...
