When it comes to dating, research has concluded that for the most part, women aren’t as shallow as one might think. But a new study suggests that there is still one element of a man’s appearance that women do indeed care deeply about. Spoiler alert: It’s height.

Many women are indeed height queens. The phenomenon has largely been attributed to the evolutionary psychology arguments that link height to traits like masculinity, power, and the ability to pass on tall people genes to male children so that they too can reap the societal rewards of being tall.

Women who chose to marry taller men did indeed report higher levels of overall happiness. In fact, he reported that “a greater height difference in a couple was positively related to the wife’s happiness,” which suggests that the taller the husband, the happier the wife.

I refuse to listen to any of these BS studies. It's all designed to emasculate men.

Despite being 6' 1" myself, I see enough short, cute women who miraculously are running around with dudes their EXACT same height.

Adjust what can be changed. Height (outside of lifted shoes I suppose) is simply what it is. Same with **** size.

I am by no means tall. But. I cannot remember the last time I truly single. Yet many of my taller friends & coworkers are incel or have been in a long dry spell.
Height is important. But there’s something I’ve found that’s more important.

I work with a dude currently who is like 6-9 and can never get a girl. But he's also big bone frame and not muscle and awkward. Like girls he'd try and talk to or compliment at work they all think he's creepy and has been told on to managers before. I think being like that tall and big bone intimidates them if they think you're creepy and they get scared.

The truth is that some women definitely care a lot about it. As a sub-6' tall man, it only hindered me when I tried to pursue a woman taller than me. All other times, my height or lower has never been an issue. That said, the two gals in their 20s, which I consider to have been the hottest things I've ever facked, were taller than me, and we saw each other a lot in both cases.

If she's your height or shorter, the height thing is irrelevant; you make yourself visible to them, it's your job.

@BadBoy89 I don't think the general SS consensus has ever been that height didn't matter.

.......But carry on if you must!

I guess they didn't include Peter Dinklage in their study.

My thoughts? Don't fall victim to binary thinking.

Yes, women generally prefer tall men. But that's just one of the factors that forms the basis of attraction. Don't make the mistake of overestimating the importance of that one factor.

Do most men prefer girls with with big boobs? Yes. Do women with average and small boobs have a hard time finding a man? No.

Women liking tall men isn't exactly breaking news. Like we always say, it is a combination of things. The most important is social proof, the second is money, and the last is looks. Yes, looks are still important, but they are probably the least of the those big 3.

Only exception is if a woman is literally out looking for a quick bang - then looks become most important.

And on Tinder. Looks > everything else.

The person who has had probably the most progeny wasn't renowned for his height. His name was ghenis khan.

In other news, men like women with big boobs. This obsession with height is not healthy.

Is the obsession with big boobs healthy? Asking for a friend...
I'm sorry to tell you that obsessions are rarely healthy.
Most 'breast men' are drawn to the nurturing type of women (ending up with their 'mom').
Most 'butt men' are drawn to the fornication type of women (ending up with their 'sloot').

Breast men tend to be more submissive men, whereas Butt men tend to be more dominant.
