Hey everyone. I reached my goal as you all know. Anyways, I played tennis for 4 hours the other day. It felt great. Then...I tried to get out of bed, and I couldn't. I thought I was paralyzed, but I was just really REALLY sore. Hell, my ass is sore and basically whenever I move, it hurts. Dunno wtf is up. Any advice on how to treat this ****? I'm laying off the workouts for a while though, cuz I read on this site that you should give your muscles time to REBUILD before breaking them down. thanks.

lol... I can feel your pain. I just ran 3 miles this morning for the first time in almost a week, and I'm feeling it. As for your soreness, drink lots of water, and don't overexert yourself. When you feel as though you're able to keep up exercising, go ahead and do so. It's natural for you to be sore - what you've done when you worked out (tennis, to be specific) was to cut tiny tears into your muscles, which in a few days will have solidified once again, thus increasing your muscle mass. When you have a solid routine going, you'll do upper body 1 day, lower body the next - always allowing 48 hours for each to heal. This is, of course, a very brief and inadequete explanation - more can be found on about.com or elsewhere. Or perhaps by speaking to any personal trainer.

I don't think that they'll mess your muscles up... but just continue working out and (as mentioned) stretching. Soreness is a natural feeling when you begin pushing yourself past your current limits. Get used to it.

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
