Sure respect women, but ONLY if they respect you. Being female doesn't impart some special status. They are human beings, and need to act accordingly.

By the way, what part of that post would indicate insecurity? I'm not the one who thinks you need to kiss a woman's ass to keep her. I never advocated treating women badly, I merely suggested you don't tolerate their bratty behavior.

This is the offhand quote that began the whole argument, and I think Friv took it out of context. It looks to me as if Friv and jprjrjr both agree on the basic stuff except for this, so the two of you really should quit with the personal attacks against each other.

Frivolous, you especially need to tone it down a bit. As sure of yourself as you are right now as to what you do with your new girl, cool it with the attacks to anyone who doesn't completely agree with you. I am going to tell you right now that on the chance that she breaks up with you, that you will be saying WAY different stuff than you are while you are with her. Keep your feet on your ground and your head out of the clouds, or before you know it, it's going to be over.

What to do? Probably you are right - you know better what they are doing.
But why they are late? There two likely reasons: a) she simply plays a guy, i.e. play hard to get. b) she is so preoccupied with her makeup and so irresponsible that she simple forgets about the time.

Now suppose a) is true - she plays hard to get. Then it would not matter for her if I tell her "be in time". She will be late anyway.
And the reality tells me.. if I tell her "be in time" she will come even earlier...
So it is not so much of a) it is rather b) when she is doing her makeup and doesn't give a sh*t about anything or anyone: it is irresponsible in my book.

Yes, teach them and give them directions..it works.
I dont know if you are resposible or not and it really doesn't matter since we are not talking about you. By the way, here is quick test for you: when a guy ask you out...are you always in time?

Not to sound feminine or anything, but I can understand why some women might be late. A lot of times I've been late myself. You know those times when you're watching a really cool tv show? You really wanna pull yourself away, but say "Just 1 more minute", and that minute becomes an hour or something, and you're still in your pajamas watching seinfeld.
