In my personal experience the most outgoing, center-of attention, class clowns are the most insecure/self-deprivating people you'll ever meet.
I had a friend in high school who would yell at people across the halls, hi-5 the jocks and rag mercilessly on people he didn't like (including teachers....lol) Before I became friends with him I thought he was the bravest kid in the world. But several times later after he made a commotion he confessed to me that he felt so bad about doing that and how everyone hates him now. But he did it ALL THE TIME, and would soon snap out of that and then go back into his class clown self as if he never regreted it, it was so weird. I thought he was just a weirdo but the next year I made another friend who was center-of attention type guy and he would go through the exact same self-depricating cycle......overly extroverted people are insecure in ways manny of us introverts can't understand
Anyway, this guy is completely insecure and feeds of the attention of others. Make him starve to death, it's the worst possible thing you can do to him. Act uneffected by anything he says to you or behind your back and I guaruntee you'll torture him.
EDIT: I don't know if you've ever read "The Game" by Neil Strauss but Mystery in that book is a perfect example of what I'm talking about.
