someone please kick my ass - I've lost the plot

I've let a girl get under my skin and it's pissing me off.

There's some interest on her part, but half the time when I get her alone her body language cools right off. The worst news is that I've got an emotion interest in her - which is screwing me right up. Worse still is that the "challenge" means I'm having trouble moving on from her and getting back to the old me.

I've also shunned three 18 year old university/college students in the last week or two because I've been focussed on this one girl. Such a moron.

Please tell me what a spaz I've been, and if you've had such an experience yourself then advice on how I can stop being so dumb would be appreciated.

wjh - that's the advice I've given myself, although I'm not really the crying type. I'll get over it better if I go down to the docks and pick fights with drunk fishermen. If I don't get what I want this weekend, there's stacks of young tail I can let chase me around campus....
