Somebody yesterday posted a good opener

It was really basic, no games, no tricks or bs. I can't remember who it was or the exact wording but it was beautiful in it's simplicity, it was something like "Hi I just saw you from across the room and had to come over and find out..." and can't remember the rest now. If you are the guy that wrote that please finish the sentence.

I'm trying to come up with quick simple openers that could be used in most any situation.

I'm not a fan of one liners as an opener, but I can give u some casual openers that work well for me. I like to look at what a girl is wearing and comment on that or comment on the situation. Here I'll throw you an example:

I walk by this really hot blonde and she is wearing a coach purse...

Me: That's a really nice Coach purse your wearing
Her: Surprised, so how do you know its Coach
Me: Im into all aspects of fashion jokingly... Whats your name?
Her: Tiffany
Me: Tiffany... Why don't we discuss fashion over some Starbucks but say it in a way where your joking... What's your number...
Her: leaves the digits...
Me: Talk to you later

There is a huge...almost an infinitely massive huge difference between something that can be expanded into yes, any of a infinite possibility, and a one liner designed to impact.

Hi, I'd just thought...

Or theres..

Omg, you're so fly, I gonna drag you back to ground, G-Dogg.

"Hey can I ask you a quick question?"

for girl you are interested in as relationship -> "are you single?"

for girl you want as friend w/ benefits -> "well, its not really a question, but i just wanted to meet you, what's your name?" or something like that, don't have to ask the name

i just came up with the 2nd line and I think now it covers all situations
