Somebody tell me about Junior Prom?

Ok so my school's prom is looking pretty weak, low attendance and very few cute girls...

So I'm opting to go to this other school, A.I. for prom, this school is well-known for having lots and lots of hot girls. Right now I am pretty much guaranteed to get in, but before I drop the money on this night I want to make sure it's a good idea...

Now here are a few things to keep in mind:

I barely know anybody from this school, a few kids from my Jr. High but that's maybe 5 people

It's $85 for the ticket, not including money I'd have to spend to rent a tux, etc.

The school has a lot of hot girls, but I have no social proofing, no preselection, and no momentum as Norwegian says

I've never been to prom

So from a Don Juan standpoint, is this something worth going to? I want to make sure this is something I can have fun at and pick girls up before I drop half my money on this one night. Please give me your opinions.

In my opinion, school dances are just not that fun (it's the after parties that are)
I sure as hell wouldn't pay 85 bucks to go to someone elses prom.
but if you're gonna go, make the best of it and don't go in there thinking about all the things you don't have. It might turn out fun.

Sneak in some alcohol and ask some cool kids and hot chicks to share it with you outside, since proms don't supply alcohol Unless they do in Norway?

Yea, I agree with Johnny, I don't know how they do proms where you are, but the majority of the girls at the proms around here, are already going to have a date. There may be that occasional group of girls that came as a group, but I'm not sure if I'd want to bet 85$ on that.

See if you can find out where the after parties are. That's where you have a much better chance of doing anything/having more fun. Instead of spending the $85 on a ticket, spend some on alcohol and bring it to the party, you'll definitely be let in and you'll have some instant social status.

Ok, well how would I find out about these afterparties when I don't go to the school or know the people there?

I'm not into finding about my own school afterparties because my school is 50% black and I don't think I would have fun at those types of parties.

Go to prom with a date. Go to the afterparty without one. Going to prom dateless is a cry to be the butt of everyone's jokes. I don't know what it is in Norway, but why take chances?

If you don't have a date dont go. Prom is just a bunch of couples. GAY!
