Last night I was at Walgreen's around midnight. I was wearing a Circuit City tshirt because I used to work there and some guy who was looking at stuff in the same aisle asked me if I worked at Circuit City and then started talking about his online energy drink company and asked me if I wanted to make some money working with him. (I usually ignore people I don't know but since I'm trying to be friendlier and develop social skills I kept talking to him). I said "no thanks" because I figure it's some kind of scam and bought my stuff and went home.

Then tonight I was at this all night diner in the same part of town around midnight again and there were about 10 people at the next table over, they were wearing business attire and having some kind of meeting apparently, (which I thought was a little strange so late at night). One guy was doing most of the talking and the rest were listening and taking notes.

When I was done eating I was standing in line to pay behind one of them and he started talking to me, again I thought it was just some guy being friendly so I carried on the conversation, after a couple minutes again comes the spiel about his internet business and if I want to make some money working with him. This time I said "Yeah, I might be interested in something like that" just because I was now intrigued as to what kind of scheme these people are running, the guy gave me his card and said I could call him to talk about it.

The card says "ETWW Educating Tomorrow", the guy's name, phone number and email. On the other side it says "Educating Tomorrow" and "Teaching people how to reach their goals!" I'm not going to call this guy, I am just curious if anyone here knows what kind of scheme this is? I already googled the stuff on the card but couldn't find anything.

Ultra-vague business?

Sounds like a pyramid scheme. You work selling the ETWW rights.

And what are the ETWW rights?

Why, it's the right to sell the ETWW rights!

That's my guess.

I can rip a phone book in half with my eye lids
(Sorry, wrong quote.)

How does it work?
It works just like in my previous post. You pay for the rights to sell the "ETWW system", which is what the guy ahead of you sold you. You would then have to become like that guy and sell the rights to enough other people to make a profit (really hard).

Meanwhile, the guy ahead of you would keep trying to sell you "advanced" packages of tapes and seminars to help you sell more . . . tapes and seminars to the people below you. And so on until you run out of people.

Look up Multi-level marketing pyramid scheme.
