So I was reading something from a newsletter I got a while ago, and came across this:
I was wondering if anyone on this forum uses a blender and how have their experiences been?
There seems to be so many positives:
-Nutrition (you can't have too much fruit & vegetables!)
-Energy
-Taste
-Even a good way to add some protein!
Since I train like an athlete (more so than a weightlifter), I was wondering if anyone had some sick athletic smoothies one can make. I imagine the first thing needed is banana for potassium obviously. Maybe some carrots too. Anyone have a sick recipe?
Ever since reading that I've been interested in buying a blender.Fruit Smoothie - It's simple, and it's the easiest, quickest and tastiest way to pack heaps of healthy food into your body. Invest in a blender. Due to current processing methods, it is estimated that a piece of fruit consumed today has only 10-20 PERCENT of the nutritional value it did only 50 years ago! That means that we need to consume a great deal more of organic, healthy fruits and vegetables. This morning, I tossed in grapes, pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, banana, mango, and yogurt; it was absolutely delicious, and it set me straight the whole day. Add protein powder as desired.
