I haven’t seen these types of FRs yet, so I thought it would be interesting to put these up.

A little about me

I’m 16 years old and going to be a junior in September. I started visiting this site about 3 years ago when the “girl of my dreams” (that I had massive oneitis for) rejected me. I’m pretty proud of my improvement since then, but am always looking to further my progress. I joined in 2009 to ask some questions, but haven’t really spent a lot of time posting.

Summer program

This month, I am taking a 4-week residential program at a university in a major city. I take classes related to biology on weekdays, but have plenty of time to hang out with new guy friends and girls. I have a morning lecture from 9 until 12 in a large hall with about 80 students. In the afternoon, I have about 3 hours of lab with 20 students. My late afternoons and evenings are free, except for mandatory journal club meetings (reading of primary scientific literature) from 6:30 to 7:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays. Everyone (about 275 students, 55girl:45boy ratio) lives in the same quad of dorms.

Let’s get started

I’m posting these FRs to see how much I improve, both internally as well as with girls. I would appreciate it if people could give me their feedback – even just a quick tip or pointer – after reading my daily entries. I will start by recapping from the previous days that have already passed (tonight is the end of Day 6), and continue from there.

Day 1-5 (Mon-Fri) [A brief summary because they have already passed]

I met some pretty cool people over the first 5 days. There were definitely some hot girls around, and I had a few conversations with them. I didn’t spend much time hanging out with any of them or get any numbers, which I know are my mistakes. The problem (well, sort of) that I noticed was that there were not that many attractive girls, so a lot of guys basically crowd around and throw themselves at the ones that are hot, which I don’t want to do. I don’t think those girls like that, and I want to stand out and be different. But obviously, I do not want to never talk to them and hope that they somehow come talk to me, which is even worse.


Day 6 (Saturday)

Today I took a trip to NYC with the rest of the program. I basically hung out with my guy friends for the whole day, while only having short conversations with girls. My focus was not on girls at all, because I just wanted to have fun and chill with some of my friends.

Day 7 (Sunday)

Today was pretty much catch-up day. I had time for laundry, homework, and just picking up some stuff I needed/cleaning my room.

Around 1 in the afternoon, I hung out with a group of people in my friend's room. One girl seemed pretty interested in me when I talked to her, and ended up coming over and sitting next to me on the bed. She was pretty shy, but I kept a good conversation going and so she opened up. She had to leave with her friends soon after she came to sit close to me, but I'll see her tomorrow and see what happens.

The rest of the day I just had a good time with my buddies. Tomorrow my classes start again.

Day 8 (Monday)

Today (well, technically yesterday, because I'm writing this after midnight) was pretty fun. During the morning lecture, I learned some pretty interesting facts about bio. Then I went to afternoon lab, and I talked to these two girls at my lab table who seemed interested in me (there are a lot of things to talk about/kino opportunities in a lab setting where you are doing experiments and stuff.

After dinner, I went to my journal group. There are like 8 guys and 2 girls (1 hot) in it, but I mainly talked to my close friends.

Around 9-10, I chilled with pretty much the same group of people from yesterday, and had a good time with the girl that seemed interested me. We'll see where that goes in the next few days.

I had pretty much the same schedule of a lecture in the morning and then lab in the afternoon. During lab, I spent a some time making fun of one the girls (let's call her Christine) at my table for being incapable of doing anything - she knew I was just kidding and seemed pretty receptive.

Later, I hung out with the group of people that I usually do at night, in my friend Mitchell's room. I didn't get to talk to the interested girl (let's call her Michelle) that much because almost immediately after I started a conversation, some guys in the group came back from CVS and threw nearly fifty tampons all over my friend's room lol (inside joke because Mitchell said earlier that they were disgusting). That was pretty funny distraction, but I'll see what I can do tomorrow -> I need to get some numbers.

Day 10 (Wednesday)

Usual routine today.

However, this afternoon after chilling with her, I got Michelle's number. Then I did some work after dinner, and hung out with some friends to finish off my day.

Day 11 (Thursday)

Talked to a few of the girls in my lab group today - had a few good conversations going. Tomorrow we're doing large groups instead of partners, so I should have more opportunities to talk to girls.

Michelle came up to my room for like ten minutes today, but we had to go leave for some stupid mandatory activity - what a shame lol. I need to find some time to isolate her.

Tomorrow night, the whole program is going to movies to see Toy Story 3. I'm probably gonna sit with Michelle, so we'll where that goes lol. I know from other's advice that movies aren't the best place to game girls, but I think I'll make do.

Anyone have any tips or suggestions in general or specifically for the night?

Day 12 (Friday)

Normal class schedule today.

Tonight, I went to see Toy Story 3 with Michelle. I sat next to her, but because so many friends were talking/in general surrounding us, I couldn't really make a move. Movies are bad for talking to girls, anyway.

She seemed pretty happy through the whole night until the movie ended and it was time to leave. She seemed to sort of put a little distance between us when we walked back - not a significant one - but definitely noticeable to me. Then she kinda just said goodbye and walked off when we got back to the dorms.

I consider her ending behavior sort of cold towards me, but I don't know what caused it. Regardless, I don't mind if things don't work out with her, because then I'll just have more time to spend with the other girls I'm talking to. But still, I'd really like to hook up with her - but if it doesn't happen - it wouldn't be the end of the world, you know what I mean?

Anyway, we're (as in the whole program) going to D.C. tomorrow. Some of my friends were urging me to hang out with her (but that means also with her group of annoying friends) after seeing me with her tonight, but I'm not really up for it right now. We'll see.

I just feel a little disappointed right now, but I'm hoping tomorrow will be awesome.

Day 13 (Saturday)

I went to D.C. on Saturday. Hung out with my guy friends, which were much more interesting to spend a whole day with than some girls. Saw some pretty cool museums and monuments/memorials, you know the deal, I'm sure most of you have been there/know what what's there. I didn't talk to Michelle at all.


Day 14 (Sunday)

I went home today, and came back around 10pm. I just chilled with my friends for a few hours before I came up to my room to sleep/type this. I waved/said "hi" to Michelle and some other girls I'm talking to, but didn't have any conversations, the interactions were just quick greetings.
