It is not so much length

Length is not the most important "variable", I think way more critical is diameter. As somebody did point out earlier, terminal nerves are located in the first inches of the womans, so I think that for a given diameter, a woman can barely differentiate between 5 or 8 inches. That being said, longer is better depending on the position, so it does not "get out" when you don't want it to.
