The **** do you know ? He isn't grossly fat just a tad overweight if he goes super strict lifts heavy and hard, does cardio and actually does a proper cut without giving up over the next 8-12 weeks. I like your persistence but don't compromise safety.
A caloric deficit can be accomplished with or without alcohol.
Know how many calories you have to take in per day and stick to it. On weekends I like to drink a few so I adjust my calories.
