1) I workout every other day and while people are noticing some results, they are not what I hoped. I've been doing this for several years. I am the ectomorphic body type and working out is frustrating because it only makes me look toned like an athletic girl.

What sort of supplements would help me, and what do they usually cost?

2) I want a six pack. In my routine, I do 30 sit-ups with a 30 pound weight in each hand, on a platform that makes me do it at an angle. I also do 50 crunches on each side to help me tone up the obliques. The six pack abs are only visible when the light comes at them from a certain angle for some reason I've noticed...

3) Do protein supplements cause farting? I know milk causes that for me, although ice cream doesn't for some reason.

You should not have gas from protein. Your diet is not balanced enough with fibrous carbohydrates.

Contrary to popular beliefs you don't need to overload your body with the most amount of protein your body will allow. Muscle growth and strength come from a constant balance of protein carbs and fats.

You should not be drinking regular milk. You should be drinking Organic LACTOSE FREE milk, make sure it has potassium in it.

Try taking a digestive supplement to take care of the gas from protein. Bromelain or papaya enzyme both work to help break down and digest protein. Stop by GNC and you can pick up a bottle of either one for about $10.

Good to know, because I'm not sure how sexy farting is haha.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

I used to have nasty farts when I started taking whey and eating more, it was absolutely disgusting. I think my body was just adjusting to me eating so much more protein though, because the farts stopped after a while and have never been a problem since.

But like they said above, there are supplements that I hear are good if the problem persists.

Post diet/workout so we know why you aren't growing.

2: Lower bodyfat, you need new ab exercises

3: Solution will probably come with diet. I used to have similar problems til I changed my diet

1) 50 crunches with my left side, 50 with my right side (for obliques). 30 sit ups with 30 pound weights in each hand on an incline. I do 45 push ups with the perfect pushup, I can now do 5 pull ups, palms forward, and I use the machines at the gym I go to. I eat almost no sweets, cake, cookies, candy, ice cream, etc. I don't drink as much as I used to. I eat a lot of triskuits, pretzels, meat, but I can't think of a certain meal I eat a lot.

It is no secret that the only way to get six packs is to lower your bodyfat. There have been countless threads on this topic already.

Also, the "toning" thing is a myth. Your abs have to be big enough to actually see, and high reps isn't going to do that.

Your diet/workout could be much better. There is no organization not to mention the only foods you could name was junk carbs and meat. Where are the veggies, complex carbs, fruits??

For diet, do this http://www.sosuave.net/forum/showthread.php?t=134782. It is really easy, and the carb cutoff will help you keep the fat off while building muscle.

Do you have access to a gym or money for one? If not, go here - http://www.rosstraining.com/

Quag also mentioned Redpoint...which if you don't feel like having to figure anything out and have a plan specifically built for you, go there. It just costs like $18 a month if i remember correctly.

six packs are 90% diet and 10% exercise. some of the skinniest people who do no exercise have six packs, because they are skinny. muscle tone is the visibility of your muscle, and fat hides your muscle.

you need to eat better and lower your body fat. once your body fat is lower than 10%, and you still can't see your six pack, then make your abs bigger.

Pook said he had the ectomorph body type too and Anthony Ellis's program was the only thing that gave him the body he wanted.

Maybe try that.

I have a gym membership and I need to read up on dieting. I guess I just thought fat girls were interested in dieting or something.

The Pook is a Legend.
