Zircon, the reason you were 24 before you started putting weight on is most likely because your metabolism slowed down, but that doesn't mean you couldn't have put on weight when you were younger if you had eaten correctly.Originally posted by Zircon
I don't agree...I was 24 before I could even start putting on weight. Ppl are different, and will put on weight differently and at different times. [/B]
For example, at 24 you might have only needed 3500 calories a day to create a calorie surplus (and hence put on mass) but at 17 you might have needed 4000, 4500 or even 5000 a day when your metabolism was much higher. Your body cannot burn infinate amounts of calories, eventually you will hit your calorie surplus and put on weight.
You'll notice in my post i said:
"You will put on muscle easily with a good diet and good weight lifting routines. "
When i said a good diet, i meant one that creates a calorie surplus, that is the first step to putting on weight. You don't just wait around till you're in your 20s till your metabolism drops, you just shovel more food in your mouth until you start putting on weight. This might be a pain in the arse when you're in high school, but it doesn't mean it can't be done. If you want to be big and muscular, start now, don't put it off.
