workout today (back/biceps) was very hard due to the cardio taking its toll i think.

I could lift the same weight in most sets but they were MUCH harder than usual.

Dont think my body is getting enough rest with cardio and weights.

HIIT will definitely hurt your recovery bro, which is why I'd go for long steady state cardio anytime - equally effective in burning the fat if you do it long enough.

Alternatively, make your moderate jog five minutes.. as I assume it's a warmup to your HIIT?

hey warboss, no the 20 minute jog is cardio too, i dont really do warm ups for cardio just ease myself into the jogging slowly.

this a bad thing then?

I'd skip the jog if I were you - save 100% effort for your HIIT. Warm up for the HIIT with a 4-5 minute jog if you like though.

did it already:

21 JULY 2005

10 minute jog

2 minutes HIIT

rest

1 minutes HIIT

rest

1 minute HIIT

Could only do this amount as my lower legs (around the ankle area) are KILLING me. they are so stiff and sore its sometimes hard to walk/jog on them.

think im doing too much?

would 2 days cardio be a waste? i want to keep the 3 day cradio thing going but am getting worried about injuring my legs.

30 minutes jog (2 slight rests in between)

crap, crap, crap, damn 30 minutes of cardio last night took its toll today on my leg day - i was physically and mentally exhausted throughout the whole session.

might just stick with 10mins jog and 9+mins HIIT from now on.

Nahman.. we are not gonna laugh.. I was down to 55 when I changed the grip in the bench so I know what it's like.

You have any pictures you'd like to post? it would be pretty interesting to see the progress you have been making. Sorry if I haven't replied inyour thread... I just don't know what to say about HIIT sessions. anyways.. keep at it =)

LIFE: no probs, thanks for the reply. i still look pretty much the same as the last time ya saw me. have to start eating more once i get my bf% down to about 14%. What do you mean by:

I was down to 55 when I changed the grip in the bench so I know what it's like.
My grip is wide enough - about level with my elbow. I dunno how im gonna get stronger on ANY of the lifts - eating more has been suggested and I will do that but dont have the money for extra food at the moment - soon though.

Any other ideas? Cheers

DOUBLE: i dunno why my biceps are lacking - cant seem to lift heavier on any exercise these days! Kinda frustrating really! :)

Ohh, I mean It is frustrating when you loose strenght, not that you are not keeping wide enough grip.

What's your BF at the moment?

The only suggestion is to eat more when you get money. Meanwhile there's not much you can do. :/

cheers life

i kinda know how eating more makes you bigger/stronger - but will eating more not just put on more fat and keep me at the strength i am?

i.e. can you explain in detail how eating more makes you stronger/bigger?

cheers

CARDIO 9 AUGUST 2005
